If I could, I would have huuuge shelves, filled with all the books I have come to love and don't own. But I don't have my most favorite book ever, 'cause I had to save up and then, when I had, it wasn't in my city's shops anymore. It's really sad.
I sometimes watch anime online, because I don't have TV and the program is limited, too. But I don't watch movies, not here, not really downloaded ones.

Sei 08-23-2010 04:13 PM

What's up, SilverAce? o.o

Flaria 08-23-2010 04:14 PM

@Johnny:
Lmao. Thank you. *laughs at herself* I must be tired. You know, we all never know what will happened to the planet because everywhere we go there's always something terrible happened to the plants, trees, animals, etc. Sad to see them go to make more spaces for all of us to live in. I fear for the future way head of us. D:

@Rainy:
Yes, I know the feeling of that. I was thinking the same thing when it's comes to the future. Dx But, I sure hope they do something about it once it's comes along.

@Ace:
Hi there! *hugs*

Sadrain 08-23-2010 04:15 PM

About 1/3 part of our woods got chopped down.
We have such rules, too.
But our ecosystem has changed a lot. Many species of birds disappeared, and even butterflies.
Those new trees take long time to grow up, they often are badly planted and grow up crippled or become sick. They're not as big help as it seems.

Yuki 08-23-2010 04:19 PM

Butterflies... call me an ass hole but I didn't feel anything when I heard that...I know I'm horrible...

AceValkyrie 08-23-2010 04:21 PM

finally you guys notice me >3> sheesh loljk

Sadrain 08-23-2010 04:23 PM

Well, for you maybe not, but for other a killed nation means nothing, too.

Flaria 08-23-2010 04:24 PM

Awe, Yuki. Someday, you will find them beautiful creatures. x3 They are like bees carrying flower pollens to next flower to make more beautiful flowers.

@Rainy:
Yes, they do took a long time to grow to make good kind of trees for certain type of papers and other things.

I download music.

I don't see a problem with it, considering that most of the stuff I listen to is old and no one is making real money off it anymore. Besides, the way I figure it is, if downloading music is stealing because the "rightful producer" of that product isn't getting paid, so is buying CDs second-hand from stores, or buying vinyl records or cassette tapes. In fact, by the logic of the anti-piracy people, all secondhand music store owners should be arrested under piracy laws for making money off music while the artists don't.

:/

Still, that being said, I do have a CD or vinyl version of every album I have on my music player at this moment.

As I said, I like having physical representations of things. I don't like stuff just... floating around on my computer, able to be lost at the first hard drive crash.

Also, I'm slightly less forgiving about downloading movies. The secondhand loophole still remains, but for movies it really does put a huge dent in the profits. Movies usually have to pay for a lot of peoples' salaries, not just a band or a producer's.

And downloading books is just evil without buying them afterward! D<

Authors get paid very little per book as is. Downloading books is just like.. stealing from them. Also, this is another reason why I hate e-readers: it makes book-downloading so much easier for people to do, thus putting a huge gash in the publishing business.

Zypher 08-23-2010 04:42 PM

:c -planned on getting a kindle so she could read books during her trip-

...

Flaria 08-23-2010 04:42 PM

Some books that you wanted aren't in stores they have it online store. So the books I wanted I have to order them from online. D:

Yuki 08-23-2010 04:43 PM

If you find that way good for you then go ahead. xD

Where I live buying books online is cheaper and there's NO shipping fee.

Sei 08-23-2010 04:43 PM

I can't take a box of books when I travel across Canada and the US... Nevermind across the world.

And I'm not going to read the same book over and over again either.

Yuki 08-23-2010 04:56 PM

I carried around 27 mangas in a suit case when going home from Japan...lol

Flaria 08-23-2010 04:59 PM

Yuki, that works too. I would done the same thing since they are smaller not much to take much space in the suitcases but if I need something to read, I would have take a few with me in the backpack.

johnny 08-23-2010 04:59 PM

I really should set up that chat room again for when Trisphee database-errors.

Sadrain 08-23-2010 05:03 PM

Lucky Senyuki. =*-*=

Flaria 08-23-2010 05:04 PM

Johnny, that would be a fantastic idea. So that way we all still together chatting with each other. *huggles Johnny*

Yuki 08-23-2010 05:04 PM

Most of them were bargain from BOOK OFF...

Zypher 08-23-2010 05:05 PM

The books I read are thousands of pages long. x'D Gets heavy after a while. And I wouldn't be taking a suitcase either. I'd be taking exactly 10 pounds of weight. Which is enough to cover two sets of light clothing, my tent, sleeping bag, first aid kit and general supplies. All of which needs to fit in a back pack.

I'm going to either walk across Canada and the US or, I might decide to bike across it to make the load easier to bear.

Sadrain 08-23-2010 05:12 PM

i still has a link to it. x3

johnny 08-23-2010 05:42 PM

Walking across the country was always a sort of dream of mine.

Paranoia prevents me from doing it.
