It's like a wall of glass between me and the world, with a buzz of low grade pain accompanying it.

I have a cousin that can't eat gluten as well, but he can eat cheese, so he eats 'pão de queijo', which is a cheesy bread we have here.

...That sounds a lot like what I deal with when I get a minor migraine. Which is still preferable to poopsplosions and MSG headaches.

Yeah, Den, but I have to depend on myself. So that level of brain malfunction isn't good.

at least you don't have people going "You've got ANOTHER migraine?" every time you're down.

*subject change* Ancient Roman women had some wacky hairstyles going on.

So did Edwardian English women. Some were so complicated that wigs were sold for easy hair doing.

Ancient Greek women, too... Historical hairstyles are seriously labor-intensive.

And the Greek and Roman ones took a couple slaves to fix them up.

So did some American Civil War-era ladies.

Yeah. Were there crazy fancy dos then too?

Not too terribly crazy, but a lot of women had lots of hair that would take more than one person to help style.

And they wore it in an area where the humidity can take off paint.

Very crazy.

Hell, the humidity here can take paint off sometimes.
