>< it was more complicated then that, a lot of internal fighting that spread to the threads. Kinda horrible so I feel its safer to just leave them a lone. XD Also I have not seen Letiels post in Espy's threads. I think Coro, Ashy and Espy are my sensai's.

Funkduder 02-22-2011 03:12 AM

@Poggio Sensai? Don't you mean Sempai or Sensei? And was there really internal stuff? It must of happened during the day, or while I hung out in the Brothel the entire time. XD Also Letiels post was like around page 3-5 on the thread, so it was pretty well before I first visited the Chaos Knights.

Poggio 02-22-2011 03:18 AM

I thought sensei and Sempai both mean teacher, but Sensei was teacher and Sempai was master? So they are interchangeable since all three of them are masters and teachers XD. I'll have to go back and check it out. I kinda just read the current page and then post.

Ultima 02-22-2011 03:20 AM

Senpai/Sempai means 'upperclassman' and is used for people who are in a higher grade than you are =3

Poggio 02-22-2011 03:22 AM

But what if they are the teacher?

Ultima 02-22-2011 03:23 AM

Sensei is used for teachers, doctors, and a few other things.

Funkduder 02-22-2011 03:27 AM

You see Poggio-bozu. Those honorables matter in the Japanese language. :)

Poggio 02-22-2011 03:27 AM

Ha! so I was right, just spelled it wrong. XD

Ultima 02-22-2011 03:28 AM

Bozu? That's for little boys isnt it? O.o;

Funkduder 02-22-2011 03:30 AM

I really don't know. I don't take Japanese. XD

--- 02-22-2011 03:32 AM

Honorifics are indeed important, Poggio-kun.

Ultima-san & Funk-san are correct.

Bozu, means 'Kid'.

Funkduder 02-22-2011 03:33 AM

AHA! and triple dash comes to the rescue. Thank you for the "san" but the honorific is real unnecessary, for me at least.

Poggio 02-22-2011 03:34 AM

And this is why I stick to romance languages, I only need to know if its male or female.

Funkduder 02-22-2011 03:40 AM

@Poggio but are sir and madam not honorifics as well? It's in every language, I suppose.

Poggio 02-22-2011 03:44 AM

Yes but its easier to just know Le La L', rather then Pun, Kun, San, Chan, sama etc.

--- 02-22-2011 03:45 AM

I am an encyclopedia of random useless knowledge, it comes in handy from time to time.

Espy 02-22-2011 03:47 AM

Oh, hey, the spectre's back.

Poggio 02-22-2011 03:49 AM

I think its time I take my leave again, must finish hw.

Funkduder 02-22-2011 03:49 AM

@Poggio indeed that is so.
@Spectre Like when playing jeopardy. Have you heard of the IBM Robot that beat the 2 jeopardy champs?
@Espy wassup espy-sempai!

Espy 02-22-2011 03:51 AM

No need to call me sempai...But if you insist, kohai >.>

Funkduder 02-22-2011 03:53 AM

I believe it's gone from teasing to habitry, espy-san. And you about my habritries. They go down, revive as zombies, and then come after you so you have to kill them twice. XP

Espy 02-22-2011 03:55 AM

Which annoys the crap out of Espy sometimes >.>

--- 02-22-2011 03:56 AM

I am indeed, Espy-kun.

Indeed, Funk-san, the IBM 'Watson' did quite well... Though I still believe an AI programmed with all the answers really isn't fair toward the humans...

Funkduder 02-22-2011 03:59 AM

@Dash^3 He did answer milk when it was coffeemate once.

--- 02-22-2011 04:03 AM

Well, computers can fault, they pick the most reasonable of the pre-programmed answers. 'Watson' is a fantastically programmed AI.

Funkduder 02-22-2011 04:04 AM

With enough terabytes of RAM to make one sick PC.

--- 02-22-2011 04:08 AM

I just hope that 'Watson' does not become self aware.

Espy 02-22-2011 04:09 AM

What's Watson?

Funkduder 02-22-2011 04:13 AM

@triple^3 I believe that that is impossible, because although I have not seen it in person, every robot has been programmed to answer a specific way towards certain inputs (such as sound or other sensor related things). Self-awareness would only be achieved by smart programmers who have no common sense.

--- 02-22-2011 04:14 AM

'Watson' is an IBM Artificial Intelligence program. He is quite remarkable, one of the best AI I've ever seen. Of course, with 'Watson' that's just... elementary?

Perhaps, but growth and awareness grow in all things. Human children are little more than computers, programmed to cry when appropriate, programmed to eat when hungry, all their base instincts are completely guided by natural input parameters.

Funkduder 02-22-2011 04:22 AM

But did he learn? Did Watson's program pick up the English Language as well as all of the other things that it currently knows or was that pre-programed? It is this question that ultimately decides whether or not Watson can even become self-aware, because the human program can learn anything and does learn everything, but then again, why don't dogs or cats or other animals. It's a questionable thingy that can span the ages until the possibilities are officially denied in public.

--- 02-22-2011 04:24 AM

This is true, but perhaps 'Watson' has been forced to adhere to programming, no? A strict set of rules to prevent him from learning on his own? Then again, perhaps that is what it means to become Human... To break free of your preordained programming and become something more... Only time will tell in the case of AI.

Funkduder 02-22-2011 04:25 AM

Indeed, good sir. Indeed time will tell.

--- 02-22-2011 04:27 AM

So, what have you been up to this fine evening?

Funkduder 02-22-2011 04:32 AM

Trying not to sleep. :P

Funkduder 02-22-2011 05:00 AM

Failed. Falling asleep. Good night to you knights out there.

Sugar 02-22-2011 06:48 AM
