I could understand some Spanish, closest thing in that was "lyk" I believe. :p

Silverbleed 03-31-2011 10:33 AM

Hhaha ok German then. Or French. Naw ich bin besser mit Deutsch sprechen, je ne parlez pas Francais tres bonne :B

Gozed 03-31-2011 10:35 AM

Did you just speak Dutch then transition into French?

Silverbleed 03-31-2011 10:42 AM

No, that's German XDD And then French indeed.
'ich bin' is German, 'ik ben' is Dutch (they both mean I am)

Gozed 03-31-2011 10:44 AM

I saw "Deutsch" and thought that meant Dutch....

Silverbleed 03-31-2011 10:50 AM

Nope! Deutsch is German for German xD

'Nederlands' is the same as Dutch.
It doesn't make much sense if you think about it but oh well xD

Gozed 03-31-2011 10:53 AM

I speak English and Bad-english.

Bonus points if you know the movie I am referring to.

Silverbleed 03-31-2011 10:58 AM

Uhh I think I heard it before..
Only think coming to mind is 'zorg' lol

johnny 03-31-2011 11:14 AM

The closest I can get to speaking another language is my abilities to say "I don't know" in French and "I watch television" in Japanese.

Gozed 03-31-2011 11:14 AM

Zorg is from the same movie, its "The Fifth Element."

Ah, yes that one.

@Johnny; my French is pretty horrible, my German is much much better. I tried learning Japanese but gave up so I forgot everything again xD

Gozed 03-31-2011 11:35 AM

I just didn't have a mindset to learn a new language when taking Spanish in high school. I treated it like any other class and memorized it long enough to take the test.

Silverbleed 03-31-2011 11:39 AM

In my case French class was just words. We didn't learn how to make proper sentences, so it was easy to forget everything.

This is the reason that the Amish - who originated in Germany - are also known as the Pennsylvania Dutch.

Gozed 03-31-2011 11:41 AM

My Spanish class was the teacher yelling at trouble making student and calling us all stupid.

Silverbleed 03-31-2011 11:44 AM

Teachers calling students stupid are stupid themselves
