DOCTOR WHO?! 01-06-2011 10:39 PM

Ah. My Aunt goes to the Ren Fair in Baltimore.
I was meant to go with her back in October, but it never happened.
Was a tad short on time and money.
:C

I've heard the one in Baltimore is really good. I've always wanted to go to that one.

A ren faire seems like it'd be really fun. Never been to one, though. D: Not really anything like that around here.

-got lost in other places-
I have been to the one in Pennsylvania (or was it Ohio?) and the one in South Carolina (or was it North Carolina?). Eh, two of those four places, lol.

I've been to one in Michigan a couple times. They're lots of fun. My favorite part is seeing how people dress up. Some people take it seriously and dress in authentic Renaissance wear. Others get a bit more... creative, lol. My favorite was the Barbarian Fairy. He was huge, bearded, manly looking barbarian... wearing pink, sparkly fairy wings, lol.

XD!! That is amazing.

There are some faires in Michigan, but not really in the area I live. I'm from Upper Michigan so ... a zillion miles away from all the fun stuff in Lower Michigan. -w- I wanna say the only one I know of is over eight hours away.

dragoness129 01-06-2011 11:01 PM

LoL, sounds cool. ^_^
I love the food there.

Ana 01-06-2011 11:10 PM

Ah, yeah. I went to one called Silverleaf. It was originally near Grand Rapids and then moved to Battle Creek.

Oooh... Ren Faire food is the best. Turkey legs and bread bowls yumm

dragoness129 01-06-2011 11:23 PM

Yes indeed!
LoL, makes me want some now.

Addy 01-06-2011 11:28 PM

That might be the one! I had a friend from Oscoda, which is .. like an hour from Petoski? I think she went to Silverleaf once maybe. o: Unless I'm all confused. Sounds familiar, though.

Ana 01-06-2011 11:30 PM

Hehe, me too. It's been so long since I"ve had a good bread bowl. They make turkey legs once in a rare while at the deli in the store I work at. I look for them every day, lol

It probably was Silverleaf. ^^ It's the only one I've really heard of in Michigan.

Addy 01-06-2011 11:31 PM

You guys are making me hungry. D8

And yaaay, mystery solved. 83

Ana 01-06-2011 11:34 PM

Hehe, I'm making myself hungry too. XD

I was in Baltimore recently past weekend >->;
I went to The Hippo (gay club) and had fun...
but dangerous area.. Dx

Addy 01-06-2011 11:36 PM

I've ever been to a place that big before. D: I went with a friend to Ann Arbor, Michigan, a couple months ago, and it was like.. culture shock. XD

Ana 01-06-2011 11:38 PM

I've never been to Baltimore. I've heard that parts of it are really nice and parts of it are really scary. And that both parts can be less than a mile from each other, lol.

Hehe, I can imagine. Most of the UP towns are pretty small, aren't they? Sad, I grew up in Michigan and lived there for 20 some years and never went to the UP, lol.
