You could always just introduce the antagonist normally, like any other character. Make readers unsure of what the characters role actually is for a while.

So what are you not sure about, Nastu? If you are still seeking help. I like to chat writing (staff work would be tedius if I didnt'). Alas, couldn't keep up with trisphee's writing demands with my current health so back to userdom for me.

Im just not sure of setting and time wise of when to introduce him mainly because i have so many different ideas... its like the opposite of writers block more like writers flood

Right. That's one of the things I still have to keep in mind is that not every good idea can -or should- go in one piece. Maybe look at what you already have planned out or what would fit with the writing best, and pick that version. Keep the others on hand for other times. Don't forget that writing changes a lot and what sounded like a perfect idea or bit of writing at the start may not work out later.

One story I wrote last year had all these lines and philosophical points that I wanted to put in, and after three different re-writes I trashed most of said lines and just stuck with the main point. It worked out.

Choosing wasnt to hard for me because after the first two gyms i placed the starters in the pc till i beat the e4 then power trained the starters xD
