Pigeons are so cute. <3

I had a friend and he used to feed the birds that came into his garden,
And there was one homing pigeon that kept coming back and we named him Reuben and he was our little baby. <3

But he flew away one day and haven't seen him since. :(
We're both hoping that he flew home.

we have a pair of mourning doves that have been coming for the last two years. they are so bold! they peck about in the front garden hoping we will feed them(which once or twice a week we do). there are other birds but these two are special as they are the only ones i have actually seen here

A lot of people think pigeons are annoying and stupid and gross..
But I think they're really sweet birds. <3

I've never seen pigeons as a kid since I lived in the country.
But I like them now that I live in the city! They're very brave. They will walk right up to you if you have food. xD

well, if you live in a crowded city or watch a lot of tv you'll only really see scavenging rock doves which probably doesn't endear people to them very much

for sure though i am not a bird person so my opinion probably means very little, hahaha

i like wee meat-eating mammals like stoats and cats and the like, hahaha

I usually have too much to do before getting a chance to be bored.

My neighbors have chickens and for some reason a white pigeon. Doesn't seem to be used for any ceremonial purposes.

I actually like grackles which we get more frequently here. Most find them annoying.

The grackles actually have an interesting creaky gate noise they make. But a lot of them can congregate at one time in parking lots or while you're out driving, which can be daunting.

I think you can only fit one bird in your hand. Unless you have giant hands.

They have a really nice oilslick purple blue kind of sheen when the sun hits them.
