Actually the bacteria thing is fairly common for people who still have their tonsils. A tiny bit of food gets in there, you cant' feel it and after a while a white lump of bacteria grows around it. When it gets to the point you can feel it It's fairly easy to remove with throat muscle flexing of a deftly used finger. However people with strong gag reflexes can't really use a finger... I just got mine out and If I hadn't already thrown it away I'd take a picture and show ya! >:3

I got my tonsils removed a while back they were swollen but uninfected looking, but they were blocking my Eustachian(sp?) tube from draining so if I took warm showers, or just random ly I would get horrible, almost puking vertigo, so they removed them end of March.. The surgeon, (also the guy who looked em over originally) told my mom my tonsils were NASTY, with signs of repeated infections on and off for at LEAST months before then...
