The nice pharmacist that have me mine this year had it done before I realized what they were doing.. it was impressive.
Speaking of needles, I think it is about tattoo time again. |
what kind of tattoo design are you thinking of getting?
|
would 100% get a tattoo if i could. no pain tolerance, ahah.

I am pretty okay with needles overall...
But I'm a big baby when it comes to blood draws. >n< My medication has a black box warning, which means that it can be very toxic, so when I first started taking it, I had to get my blood drawn once a week for 6 months... The first month I started it, I was in the hospital and if I remember correctly, they technically drew my blood once every two days.. and sometimes the lab technician would use a "baby needle" or "butterfly"(?) needle because she knew I get really faint at the sight of blood and also at the idea of my blood being sucked out. And after those six months of weekly blood draws, I had to go *another* six months of blood draws every two weeks... That being said! You'd think I'd have gotten used to getting my blood drawn and you'd think I'd be able to handle it much better than I do because I've gone through a year of blood draws multiple times a month. Now I only get my blood drawn once a month and I think that will continue for as long as I am taking this medication. ;u; It's so weird! When I got my nose pierced, I didn't faint or even get dizzy! |
I want to get a bee, probably a honey bee or a bumblebee, I havent decided yet. My kid's nickname is Bee so we talked about getting matching tattoos this summer. (They are 20, I am not getting a child tattooed)
Butterfly needles are a miracle for hose that have to have regular blood draws. |
that is an adorable idea :f-happy:
|
i genuinely can't stand needles.
if i do ever go on HRT (haha, two year waiting list in the UK), i'll probably either go w/ the gel or oral pills. best thing abt being in a server w/ my friends is that we start repeating 'le noun' at each other in the echolalia chat. |
I'm not a big fan of them, I just decided a long time ago that tattoos an piercings were important enough to force myself through the fear. I am lucky it wasn't a really deep seated phobia or it would have been way harder. I think with the tattoos it is easier to forget they are needles because they are moving fast enough you can't see them. (In a tattoo machine, my hand poked ones are a different story and that was... Only possible through devotion....)
We talked about the gel for my husband but ultimately went with injections because it is so much more affordable. |

I didn't faint but I felt like very hungry and weak and like I just got a part of me taken away. TT~TT </3 I'm smol and thin. Please don't take tha bloods out of my body, it needs it to live! I know like 4 vials of blood isn't a lot, but in my mind, ;-; it's like half my entire arm's worth of blood. |
thankfully, HRT is covered under the NHS, but given that TERFs are generally in the mainstream media over in the UK, i'm wondering how long that'll go for. plus, y'know, the whole NHS and Boris Johnson thing. pretty sure they want to privatize every last inch of it because FUCK US POORS AMIRIGHT?
