They are pretty! But working with 3 strands of yarn for a softer, more gradual color change, instead of working with 1 strand of yarn and having a sudden color change, is a pain in the ass and easily takes twice as long.

I suppose it depends. I don't find it hard. Just tedious and VERY time consuming. And actually, it would be a lot faster except I am blending a few colors instead of using a single color.
