semi is doing that one yowling meow.

Mekatra 11-16-2019 09:13 PM

That sounds...fun?

No.. that sounds awful.

Stabbsworth 11-16-2019 09:14 PM

yes, it is awful, mostly because when she starts, she won't stop for a good few minutes.

Mekatra 11-16-2019 09:17 PM

Minutes is better than hours, right?

We used to have a neighbor that had a bunch of cats and sometimes when one was in heat they would sit outside for hours yowling at each other and getting into fights.

She got really pissed and threatened to sue us when we caught one and got her spayed without her permission. We claimed we thought she was a stray.

Stabbsworth 11-16-2019 09:18 PM

crikey.

ngl, unless you're planning to breed cats, you should have them spayed as soon as possible.

Mekatra 11-16-2019 09:23 PM

With as many homeless cats as there are in the world breeding them seems a bit cruel. I get that some people seem to think that having a supposedly pure bloodline is important, but is it?

Eh, anyway, yeah. I can't imagine that anyone could think just having a ton of half-feral cats running around is a good thing, but she claimed that she took care of them all even though all she really did was just feed them.

Stabbsworth 11-16-2019 09:25 PM

apparently the breeder that my brother got his two ragdoll kittens from literally kept them in cages.

maybe, you know, brother, you should have gone to a reputable breeder for this.

Mekatra 11-16-2019 09:29 PM

Yeah, that's pretty common in breeders. Even some "reputable" ones still keep their animals in small kennels for their "safety" supposedly.

Stabbsworth 11-16-2019 09:31 PM

eugh. that practice just seems. not good.

Mekatra 11-16-2019 09:35 PM

Absolutely cruel. :(

Ugh, I don't wanna go back to work tomorrow.

Stabbsworth 11-16-2019 09:36 PM

i haven't been working for some time. i need to get back into the swing of it.

littl3chocobo 11-16-2019 09:46 PM

like most forms of self-serving ignorance the idea of 'pet care' doesn't always(or even usually) have anything to do with 'care'. often being alive is the only requirement for 'taking really good care of' an animal to animal abusers

frankly i've seen people who will claim that playing with their pert and feeding it trash food full of fillers is the mark of care even when the pet is underweight and sick with a ragged coat and dirt all over it

littl3chocobo 11-16-2019 09:47 PM

;3; i am supposed to be working right now<//3

Stabbsworth 11-16-2019 09:54 PM

i'm constantly bored and have the urge to just *do something*.

littl3chocobo 11-16-2019 09:55 PM

make art?

Stabbsworth 11-16-2019 09:57 PM

can't be arsed to get my tablet hooked in. can definitely do it when i become mobile bound for the night, but it means only an hour and a half in most cases.
