I've heard of the series but hasn't read it nor watched the series

Sad awesome show and manga. Katchan, I and Ed all cosplay from it.

I really do not worry about popularity.
I cosplay characters I like, regardless of whether they are well known or not.
I've done things from Sailor Moon to Nanami Takahashi from Bokugra ga Ita.

I wanna cosplay from bassura.

physically I've been here, X , the whole time. Though no internets, so really not helpful in the whole going on-line bit. Esoterically, I've been to Olympus, California, London and a slew of other places thanks to a voracious reading habit.....

I haven't been out of state for at least two years

I do my darndest to get out of state for at least one con a year...next year I'm thinking Atlanta....

I haven't gone on an actual trip anywhere for quite a while.

This year I am headed out to AZ, Cail maybe Newmexico for all the cons I run for anime land and cail is yaoi con.

I wish I could go and do a few more outta staters...but work isn't going to be cooperative. If they'd just do what they SAID and give me my blasted RAISE it could happen ::grumbles in corner::

You guys are lucky, states conventions look very interesting, so many people attend them O.O

Personally I only attend canadian conventions so far, but I'm wondering, what's a good convention to attend in the USA? (I may be able to attend one or two next year, but I'm still unsure about which one I should attend... Otakon sounds nice, but then again it's never the same as it appears, so...)

And I can't talk for east coast state-side cons, I guess it depends on what you look for in a con. Are you going for anime cons? comic/scifi cons? Do you want more of a cosplay presence? more of an industry presence?

I'm more interested in anime/video games con, as for what I want more, probably more cosplay presence, anf friendly environment (because some conventions have more 'selfish type of cosplayers' than others...)

oh, and I don't mind west coast convention, a friend of mine actually want to try out a LA con, therefore we'd have to take the plane.

Are you looking for east coast, central or west coast cons then? cause I know of a few that might be what you want, but they're central and west coast-ish

I help run a cosplay conventions from state. It's pretty nice so far my cosplay comstest group is really nice.

Ah sorry Fey, I think I edited my post while you were writting yours ^^; As I was saying, either East or West, we can always take the plane, we may have to one convention my friend want to attend one in LA anyway ^^; But of course, East and North is always the best, but not necessary if the con is worth it ^^

Ah! If you want a west coast one I REALLY reccomend Fanime! NOT Anime Expo! Fanime is a bit farther down CA, but it's SUPER cosplay-centric and really fun and friendly. Expo is all nice, but it's really more industry than cosplay.

I still wanna go to that one it seems so friendly Fey.

Awwwwwwwwwww, that sucks! But yeah, I knew(but didn't think) it was at the same time. A few people were lamenting that this year too. Uhm, Ohayocon is also pretty good for cosplaying...some of my fav voice actors usually go there :)

Well, I guess we'll have to skip 2012 for sure as we need to book our hotel in august for AN, but we may actually try it out the next year...we'll see about it by then I guess *shrug*

Ohayocon on the other hand...it would be a good reason to get away from the snow and ice :p
