I drink Green tea or this Cinnamon Cider flavored Tea my mom buys. : 0

Quiet Man Cometh 11-12-2013 04:14 AM

Can't say I've ever encountered the latter before.

Dorian Pavus 11-12-2013 04:22 AM

It's super strong so it wakes me right up just from the smell. xD < 3

Quiet Man Cometh 11-16-2013 10:57 PM

I don't think I've had that happen before, either. Is it an appetizing smell at least?

Surely everyone knows that Peppermint is superior!

Quiet Man Cometh 02-20-2014 07:21 AM

That would be what I grew up on, more or less. I would have my little tea service on an aluminum tray with sugar and cream and a miniature pot...it was quite the thing, but I had little else to do during the day.

Alas, no tea party this year for my birthday as we're trying to keep things on the easier end, but there shall be tea! Oh yes, there shall be tea.

Vicious Whisper 02-20-2014 05:05 PM

All I read was - Peppermint. :P

And sometimes that's all you need!

But no, there are tons of others that are grand. Peppermint is just special to me.

I've been keen on my "tummy mint" tea of late. Chamomile and mint and a couple other things I imagine. Bedtime tea.

Fauxreal 02-21-2014 03:12 PM

I wish I could find that fruit tea I found in Germany. That was freaking fantastic. *sigh*

Quiet Man Cometh 02-23-2014 03:51 AM

Do you know the brand? Or was it something particular to a little store? A couple of the tea stores I frequent import from Germany, and the Lipton you find in Europe is so much better than the Lipton here. Makes me annoyed we don't have it! First time I encountered certain flavours of Green Tea and Russian Earl Grey.

Fauxreal 02-23-2014 10:02 PM

It's definitely not Lipton. All I remember is the bag was mostly clear, and it looked like actual dried fruit in the bag. I was really young and I didn't even think to write it down or anything. :(

Also....

COFFEE!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!

Quiet Man Cometh 02-24-2014 07:09 AM

What say you about coffee?

Or have you had to much and are now on a caffeine spazz a'la Twitchy?

For the longest the only tea I drank was ice cold and sweet, and I preferred coffee to tea. But as I've gotten older, especially after my last pregnancy, I've found that I prefer tea to coffee. I really like Celestial Seasonings brand of teas. Their Sleepy Time blend was a god send the last time my 3 year old was sick. We'd add just a touch of honey and a little lemon, and it would help soothe his throat and calm him down. Here lately, I've been wanting fruity flavored teas, but we haven't had the funds to buy any, so I've been mixing a pack of kool-aid into the tea pitcher before I put it in the fridge. It's been a huge hit. We'll go through a gallon in an afternoon (3 adults and a 3 year old).

Lately I have been on a mint tea binge. I don't know if it is a craving because I am pregnant or if I just really like mint tea now. Usually I would go for chai tea, chamomile or green tea but..the mint is just getting to me. All I add to it (if it is a large mug) is one teaspoon of sugar and nothing else. I find the only tea I need to add milk/cream too is my chai tea. I prefer tea over coffee but I will drink both. Lately not so much coffee because you are not supposed to have a lot of caffeine while with child. -_-; Oh well, whatever I am content with my lovely teas. OOH! I LOVE rose tea as well, the delicate pink colour and lovely aroma are delicous ~ <3
