I never feel like I have enough room when I don't have stairs. then again, I always build one-story sim houses because I don't want to deal with stair hassle. XD

I hate stairs. I'm always scared I'm going to slip on them. Especially hardwood stairs like we have here.

Yes, they are. Especially when you're not allowed to wear your shoes upstairs and have to walk down them in socks >< Metal would be ok as long as the surface wasn't smooth. I'm not a fan of walking up stairs no matter what they're made of. Too lazy, lol.

metal stairs are very cold if I'm not wearing shoes, clack obnoxiously when I'm wearing heels, ice over easily when it's cold outside, and generally don't look very safe, being hollow an' all. =/

Ewww, yeah metal stairs outside in the winter would be horrible. I'm clumsy enough as is, lol.

it doesn't help that I have to wear heels for work. D: but it's been warm enough lately that they're not frozen, so I'm good. I just don't want it to get any colder!

Oh god, slippery steps and heels?! I'd have fallen and killed myself by now, lol.
