Indeed. We both got up before 8 this morning! D: YAY! **sleeps at work**

Tiva 10-01-2012 02:50 PM

I was still asleep.... sleep is a good thing... *naps*

Lucid: 10-01-2012 03:15 PM

I only wake up at 7 if I have work at 8. Otherwise, I think that 9 or 9:30 is a perfectly reasonable time to get up.

Tiva 10-01-2012 03:17 PM

I slept in til 9 today. tomorrow it is 6 am for work.

Lucid: 10-01-2012 03:21 PM

:< That's much too early. I don't know what I'm going to do when I have a real job that's more than 10 minutes away. I don't like getting up. I have no idea how flexible work schedules for advertising agencies are, but I imagine I probably shouldn't show up later than 9 or so.

Tiva 10-02-2012 08:29 PM

yeah.... same here but i will then be going to bed earlier..

Lucid: 10-03-2012 04:32 PM

Yeah, I'm trying to be good about going to bed earlier but it's hard. Especially since we just don't have any motivation to get up earlier than 10 on T/W/Th, since neither of us have classes or work before 1 those days. =/ I think next semester I'll take a slightly earlier class and maybe it'll make me less lazy.

Tiva 10-04-2012 03:58 PM

Yeah maybe...

So I just mad an oops in class.... I spoke Spanish when i said it was french.. I blame my french teacher. Most of her time was spent in southern france where the word is exchanged freely.

Lucid: 10-05-2012 01:25 PM

Oops! At least you know another language though. I'm only fluent in English. I know bits and pieces of Japanese but not enough to say I really "know" it.

Tiva 10-05-2012 01:39 PM

I know the basics of french... after three years of not speaking it daily in class I am rusty... but drop me in southern France I could manage... Northern... I might have a harder time cause of the German Flair of it.

Lucid: 10-06-2012 10:01 PM

My 5th and 6th grade teacher was German, and she would use German phrases in class sometimes. I feel like if I listen very hard, I can understand basic German, but I wouldn't know enough to speak it at all.

Sei 10-08-2012 11:15 PM

I cannot understand German, and it's funny because English is a Germanic language. Other languages, however, I can kind of understand, but they're Romance languages. @w@;

Alpha 10-09-2012 10:25 AM

Yep yep, that they are. I understand some Spanish....and give me enough time I could speak it. Too rusty at the moment to really be of much use though......too long without using it.

Morning all. *waves*

Angel Spirit Girl 10-09-2012 08:55 PM

Trying to learn French was very hard for me.

Alpha 10-09-2012 10:37 PM

Any language besides your first learned language can be difficult for sure, but those with similar roots always are easier to learn.

Lucid: 10-14-2012 10:28 PM

My husband knows Portuguese and Spanish, and sometimes he uses both of them in the same sentence. Not that I'd really notice most the time anyway because I don't understand either. >.>
