the girl was torn out of her day dream at those words "tomorrow? Why tomor.." she barely got the word out before she yawned loudly."oops.." another blush crept up to her face."that was rude..." she looked down at the now empty bowl in her hands.

"And that is why it'll be tomorrow." He said before standing and returning to where he stood before. "Well you could use the rest dear.. I'm sure today has been trying to say the least." She offered to take the bowl from Asami before setting it down so she could tend to it later. "Well if you want to follow me, I can show you to a room for tonight. Seems you have a rather big day tomorrow" She smiled before leading Asami down the hall and towards a rather large room that was prepared.

"You can stay here for the night, if you need anything feel free to ask. Oh and your guard will be close.. seeing as he is a drow I doubt you want him staying up the night" She shrugged a little though seeing confused look from Asami she smiled weakly before explaining. "Normally the drow aren't our allies.. he was a special case." There was more to this story but she'd have to get it another time. "They are beings of darkness, they are stronger and are able to see when there is no light to be found."

She seemed to pause a moment making sure he wasn't listening over her words. Shuddering a little she looked back to Asami. "I don't see how you trust him, your parents did as well but still.. " She shook her head. "Either way this is your room, need anything give me a yell." She bowed a little before walking off to leave Asami to her choices.

She listened intently to the woman's words. Watching her leave she turned to the bed. It looked warm and inviting and her eyes were heavy. But she felt a little uneasy "Alton" she called out softly hoping he would come into her room. She didn't want to be alone right now.. she sat down and waited for him to hopefully come into her room.

Sure he over heard some of her words, not like he couldn't hear. Though he hardly payed it any mind. By now he had gotten use to all of the comments and how most judged him. So long as he did what he was told what the hell did it matter what race or rare he hailed from. Though in this case he kept any comments to himself, no point in starting something and further stressing Asami.

He started to act like he didn't hear her call out. Though standing there a moment his thoughts got the better of him as he gave in to her call. He stayed in the doorway though when he did answer to her. Considering what she had accused him of earlier he wasn't about to just walk into her room. He wasn't really sure why she was calling him even. Not like he was going to go anywhere. "Yes lady Asami?" That was a odd change in how he spoke, normally he was rather blunt to say the least instead of formal. Though over all he was a bit worn out from today himself, it was a rather lose call for starters and then a portal took a rather large amount of energy to summon.

"umm.. i know this is out of nowhere but... would you like to stay in my room tonight? im just..umm nervous and afraid.. there are two beds and such.." her voice trailed off.. he probably thought she was stupid or silly but she was a little afraid of being alone.. hell she was afraid of the dark.. she started to blush a little but she didnt want to be alone at all.. especially in a new place like this

He laughed a little at her asking him what he wanted. "You know by now I'd figure you'd get the idea I don't have a say in what I want." He shrugged a little before speaking again. "But you don't always have to voice want you want either." He had followed her around for how many years now? He knew very well she hated being alone, he was hardly that clueless. He never said a word further before walking into the room and shutting the door. At the least if someone tried the door that would give him a little bit of a chance to prepare for whatever was to come. Not that he thought something would attack here, that would be almost foolish.

Sitting on the second bed across from where she was he sighed a little. He wasn't going to tell her what the other woman had already told her, yes his kind was known for being .. how they were called being of darkness. But that hardly meant a damned thing if you were disowned by your own kind from the start. Though that was something she'd probably never find out, and something he'd rather not remember.

She smiled a little as he sat on the bed.. "What do you mean.. dont need to voice...?" The girl cocked her head to the side just a tiny bit in confusion but before he could answer her question sleep took a hold of her and she passed out. Her body slumped to the side she fell sideways and he body landed with a thump. She looked to be at an awkward angle her feet over the side her body twisted slightly as she lay on the bed with no covers over her. She was like that sometimes. so tired she passed out sitting up.
She sometimes worked her self so badly that she would pass out while standing up. One time she passed out she had to be rushed to the ER because she hit her head on the side of the table and she slept through all the test. Most of the doctors found it to be astonishing and a little bit worrisome but the next day she woke up like nothing had happened.

He couldn't do anything but shake his head before standing again. He knew of her spells where she passed out. So moving her wasn't going to wake her up that was for sure. So he moved her a little so at least she was on the bed correctly before tossing a sheet over her. She had so much to still learn about this world... he wasn't sure bringing her here was such a good idea or not but it did have to be done. There was no promise of keeping her safe in the other realm. Then again there was no promise of that here as well.

Sitting back down on the other bed he closed his eyes, though this hardly meant he was sleeping. He was planning what they had to do tomorrow, at least with the training part. Past that it was her choice of the direction they went into. They didn't have to stay here, but the truth of it was he wasn't sure what anyone expected her to do by herself. Sure she could bring the kingdom back, but what then or how rather.

As she slept the girl had many differed dreams about alton and this new world and the old one as well. She dreamed about flying on dragons that were breathing fire. She dreamed about petting a unicorn. She had dreams where alton was always beside her, watching her, making her feel safe. And one where alton was shot through the chest with an arrow and she was crying screaming his name but it was no use. Though she wouldnt remember these dreams when she woke up she would never know that these were little premonitions of things that may or may not happen. It all depended on the path they took. Whether they lived or died it was all up to a simple choice.

By the time morning came Alton was already at wits end with the woman from before. The woman's name was Lily and she was just a keeper of one of the safe houses. "For a mere guard you push your luck." She warned him, not that he was concerned in the least as he half laughed at her threat. Or rather poor excuse of one. "I'm doing my job, she needs rest. I wouldn't be too surprised if she forgot she was even away from where she use to call home. I care very little about whatever plans you have for her. As far as I'm concerned you can shove them because most of them are unable to happen at the present time." He snapped a little at her though it did cause her to back down, either way he had a good few feet on her in height and drows were known for short tempers. Though he seemed to keep his under wraps as far as that was concerned. This little argument happened just outside of the room, though both sides kept their voices down to prevent from waking her.. even if one of them wanted her to wake up.

After her night full of nightmares and dreams the girl woke up well rested. Slowly she turned her head to the side to see if alton was still there.. but he wasnt... oh.. i guess he must have left after i fell asleep.. a little hurt the girl pulled herself into a sitting position. She heard the faint sound of voices coming from the hallway, but she figured it was probably the people that lived here doing their work or whatever they did..

She sighed a bit and glanced at the ceiling. I wonder what will happen on our journey.. i just hope i wont be alone...

"She'll learn!" The woman protested as she followed Alton when he was starting to walk back towards the room. Opening the door with as little noise as possible he glared at her before speaking. "She'll learn what? This isn't her world. You and the others sent her to the other realm and now you expect her to fill her parents shoes just like that? To hell with your system, it'll take years at best to prepare her for that role if that even." He hardly sounded like he was in a mood, but it was only with this woman. She got on his nerves they expected so much from Asami and they wouldn't get it if they kept pushing her.

The girls attention shifted as the door slowly opened. The voices from before were a bit louder now and she caught the last bit of the conversation.. "umm.. excuse me... but.. are you talking about me?" The girls face heated a bit but not out of embarrassment but out of anger. "If you want to discuss me please do it in my company... i dont not appreciate being talked about like that.." She looked away from them in a huff not wanting to meet their gazes

Alton wasn't expecting her to be awake, he would have kept his mouth shut if he thought she was going to be. He glared a little at Lily before speaking. "didn't I telly you that from the start?" The woman looked like she was ready to haul off and hit him, but she thought better of that. Seeing as she was awake now there wasn't nothing he could do or say to stop Lily from talking to her about whatever as she walked into the room and bowed towards Asami. "I'm sorry my lady.. there were just a few matters I needed to talk about." she shot a bit of a glance at Alton. "You should beat your dog more so he knows his place." Alton never breathed a word to this comment, though his first thought was he wanted to see her try.

"I wanted to talk to you about what path you were taking from here my lady.. the roads aren't that safe and we could provide a escort to help get you to where you need to go. Though your pet over there says that a larger company draws more attention then two." She seemed to disagree with Alton no matter what he said so why did he bother trying to reason with someone who didn't have to be on the front lines of this mess.

The girl was taken aback from the comment. "B...be.beat my dog?? What???" She shot a worried glance over to alton. "What does that mean?! why would i beat.. what? Who? Ive never owned a dog ever..." She started to spazz a little bit but settled down enough to comment on the next part. "Umm... i believe two would be good.. hes right a group of people would attract more attention..."

She watched Asami's reaction a little before sighing, though it was almost funny to Alton in truth. "I did tell you didn't I?" He finally spoke up. "You and the others sent her to the human realm and you expect her to act like the rest of you or understand what you mean." Lily glared at him before sitting up a little. "What I mean is your guard shouldn't have such a mouth on him..." she sighed a little before standing and bowing again to Asami. "If that is what you want, I'd feel better knowing you were away from this .. elf. But your words will be followed either way." She started to walk out of the room in defeat but stopped a mere moment to speak again. "Oh there's some food ready as well if your hungry." With that being said she left the room and Asami to her thoughts.

As soon as the lady left the girl leaned back a little.. "Alton... what did she mean by that?" She looked over to him and patted the empty space on the bed for him to sit on so they could talk. She wanted to wait for him to sit down to resume talking... It just seemed like something to do.

He wasn't about to get dragged into telling her of his past that was certain. Though he could tell or rather explain to her a few things she might want to know, probably it'll clear up why the two people they had met thus far hated her guard with a passion. Personally he wanted to remain where he was and explain it to her, though her patting to come sit meant he was going to do that before explaining a word of it. Following her request he sat down where she had patted before he bothered to speak. "To put it bluntly, drow are not allies of the fae. In fact they are one of the main units among the opposing faction that has currently taken over this realm."

He paused a moment thinking of what to tell her or what she'd understand from this. "More or less your parents are the reason I'm even your guard, they thought it was a good idea. Maybe they wanted to try and prove that the races could all get alone." He shrugged a little, heck if he knew what they were trying to prove, they had saved a small child back then. He was given the choice back then to either stay and train to be their daughters personal guard or he could go back to where he came from. Not that this was much of a choice over all.

"Dose that answer what you were asking? Or did you mean about the dog part? In that case it's more of less I speak up when I probably shouldn't and the fae believe they are better among the races." He seemed to shrug that off as well.

She sat up again as he sat down and moved a bit to sit next to him.. "oh.. i see then... thats interesting... if it means anything... im glad you are my guard then..." She leaned into him... "Do you enjoy it? or is it a burden to you... i dont want to be a burden..." She dangled her feet over the edge of the bed.

He wasn't going to say anything further, but then she started to question him. He had to look at her, what kind of a question was that? "Your not a burden. I've hardly had to do anything over the past few years. MY sole duty is to ensure you live and that nothing happens to you." In a way he could say he rather enjoyed it as a job, worse things could have happened. "I owe your parents for what they did... this was the only way I could repay them and I plan to keep to pay back that dept."

"oh i see..." She watched her feet some more. "Were my parents... were they nice people? could you tell me a little about them?" She glanced over at him. She wanted to know the truth and hopefully he wouldnt lie. "Please... dont lie to me. i want to know about them.. everything you remember."

He wasn't sure what to really tel her with this, she never had a chance to really remember her own parents. Then again he remembered his and he wished everyday he didn't but that was for .. other reasons. "I have no reason to lie about them. I'm not really sure what even happened to them." He looked down a moment before going on, really they could still be alive for all he knew. Not that there was a point to get anyone's hopes up over it, at best they were captured.. though he doubted they were alive.

"They were nice.. or rather I thought they were. Only a few times did I ever see them furious at anything.. But that could be said about anyone who is crossed I suppose." He shrugged slightly thinking about it. "They cared deeply for you I know that, everything they did was to ensure you would have a safe life somewhere. Be it here or in the human realm." He left out the part that he owed them his life, of course he didn't view them in any ill regards.

"oh i see.. so you really liked them? They were nice to you..?" Well thats good then.." She couldnt explain why she trusted him. She just felt he was being sincere and she could feel now that he was always on her side. Maybe that was because her magic was unlocked by entering the fae realm she didnt know. She felt close to him, closer than anyone else in her entire life. "umm... alton... i want to ask you something... why.. why do i feel a...connection to you? i.. cant really explain it.. but... i just do... why is that? she gulped a little hoping that she wasnt crazy for thinking this.

He nodded a little to answer her previous questions as far as if he liked them and if they were nice. They saved his life from what would have been certain death. Even though they had no good reason to, he could have turned on them at any time. Not that he would, not after what happened with his clan. "Hrm?" He questioned her when she seemed to ask something. "Finally noticed that huh?" He laughed a little, her powers were probably in the process of waking still but she would notice the link sooner or later. "Your family has a bonding ritual for the personal guards and who they are assigned to. It's suppose to let the guard know if their watch is in need or not."

her mouth formed a small o at his last statement.. "So what your saying is... we are... connected? What all does this entail?" She cocked her head to the side a little . "I wish someone would have told me sooner... like from the beginning.. it would have been easier.. i could have started learning and training..."

"Well not like you could have trained in the other realm, magic there is very limited and only the stronger of the users can use any abilities over there." Plus her powers were still waking up, over in the human realm they were very limited if they were dormant. "You weren't told because it was thought you were better off not knowing, there were never plans for you to return here." Her parents just wanted her to have a normal and happy life. "As far as this bond is concerned.. your order is my command." He seemed to take that rather lightly.Though he had lived with knowing this most of his life so it didn't seem like a big deal to him.

She was taken aback. "So her saying you were my dog.. she meant like.. i could order you around.. why would i want to do that... its cruel.." She looked down "Im so sorry you are tied to me in such a way alton..."

"More or less yes that is what she meant." He shrugged a little though he shook his head when she said sorry about it. "Well to be honest I'd be dead otherwise, so personally I don't see this as too bad of a trade off. Besides that you were hardly a bother to watch over. what you got in trouble a few times at school ad it was nothing serious.. ?" He found it a bit funny in truth, he still had his own free will so he never saw it once as something to be sorry over.

"oh... okay.. so im not a bother.." She started to cheer up a little at his reassurance. "Oh.. so you saw all of that...? Sorry. i didnt mean to.." She did a few bad things in school. skip class a few times, fall asleep in school, she once even almost got into a fight because a girl was being stupid and wanted to fight her. but it didnt happen because the teachers got involved and she was blamed for it.. "Im sorry you had to watch me through all that"

"Considering what some of your classmates did in their spare time... I'd hardly say you need to feel sorry for what you did." Humans were odd creatures he'd give them that. Then again not too different from the world here, always looking to get ahead even if that means stabbing someone in the back. "either way You got your question answered... and when it comes down to it I'd rather have this life ten the one I would have had where I came from." If you could call that a life, but she'd probably find out more about that later. Or if they were lucky never, he'd rather not cross into that section of the realm.

"Oh... where did you come from?" She heard people moving outside but that was normal she guessed. it was their house and they needed to move around doing their daily activities. She sighed a little "Sorry if im prying... you dont have to answer if you dont want to.."

Her question seemed to pluck a bit of a nerve with him as he stood up after speaking. "Somewhere that if I have any say in it, you'll not be going near." He had his reasons for not wanting her there, and they were all good ones. It was hardly a safe place that was for sure. Though if she had half a mind she could just order him to tell her the information. Not that he thought that she would do that.. not yet anyway. "On the note of places.. you need to eat something and then decide on the course of action today. This being if we travel now or if you want to see what you can get done with your training." It was her choice but staying here too long wasn't something he wanted to do.. aside from that the less fae the better in his book. But that was only because they seemed to judge him based on his race.

"Why cant we do both at the same time you know? Travel and train? and we could talk over things while we travel... it just seems like the better idea you know?" She got off the bed and faced him. "Plus.. i have a feeling you hate it here. and i dont like that feeling coming off you.. it puts me in a bad mood kinda." She sighed slightly.. "So if you want.. we can prepare today and leave after all the preparations are done..?"

"We can do both.. I just wanted to see what powers you had at the ready before trying anything too advanced." This would be a fun challenge to say the least, fae had completely different abilities and powers compared to his kind. "It's not that i mind it here.. I mind the narrow-minded views of the fae.." Most thought they were better then other races, power wise that might be true for a few of them. "Either way we're ready as soon as you are, so go eat something."

She nodded towards him "Well when we stop we can test that out okay?" She started heading towards the door but stopped suddenly. "I dont see why they would treat you the way they do. If i do become ruler... ill try to change that.." She opened the door and started to head out "Are you going to follow me?" She called out over her shoulder.

He shrugged a little at her mentioning that she would change it. "They are like that to all races, I wouldn't trouble yourself with it." Nothing seemed to really bother him, he was use to the treatment. The only fae that had been kind were her parents really, well and her but she was still figuring everything out. There was a chance that could change. He had to give her a look as if asking if she needed to ask such a question. "Unless something happens your stuck with me, though you could just order me to go away." He knew she wouldn't but it was about the only two ways to get rid of a guardian from it's charge.

She giggled at his words "Okay lets just go then.." She continued walking down the hallway and someone found her way to the dining room where a huge feast was set up. "What.. whats going on alton? Do you have any idea what this is?? Is today a party or something... oh i feel terrible for imposing now" She started to turn back the way they had come

"You worry too much, your the next ruler.. your hardly imposing." She better get use to this, it would probably happen everywhere or anywhere they went, minus maybe areas that .. were unfriendly to the crown. The woman from before walked over to her and smiled before speaking up. "Your not imposing, we wanted to make sure you were well fed before setting off. I know you ca't stay here, even safe houses aren't that safe anymore." She sighed a little. "But please do eat whatever you want, its fine I know it's too much but still I wasn't sure what you wanted." She bowed a little thinking she should have fixed less.

Embarrassed, the girl shook her head "Oh no... its fine.. its fine...i promise" Her face heated up as she was ushered into a seat and was getting served all sorts of things.. She just ate whatever to get over with. "Why is this so horrifying" She murmured under her breath to alton. "Why do this for me??"

"You know you have the power to tell them to treat you however you want... They are doing what they think is right, though they act like I'd let you starve if we traveled anywhere.." The woman glared at him a little before putting her hands on her hips. "More like you'd poison her with whatever off the wall food your kind-" He cut her off rather quickly as he spoke again. "You know I grew up with the fae remember? Or did you forget that detail." She growled a little at him, she seemed almost on edge he bothered to speak up to her, then again most guards were rather .. quiet. "Oh no i remember, I also remember why you were here in the first place." She grinned a little as Alton's eyes narrowed a bit. "breath the words... I promise you'll regret them."

She seemed to back off a little as she returned her attention to Asami "You still need to train him better, he'll lose his temper one day and it'll just be bloodshed everywhere." She shrugged a little before asking the girl if she needed anything else.
