We should find you a new crew. You can make them clean your cabin.

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 11:55 AM

Hm... Where did everyone go?

Blaine 08-11-2011 11:57 AM

Oh hai guises, wats goin on here?

And happy birthday, you!

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 11:58 AM

I think... Someone's ship crew left her? And now she's staying here? Otherwise, no idea what's going on xD

Thanks, Blaine <3

Blaine 08-11-2011 12:00 PM

....wait...wait what's going on? D: For real.
xD

And anytime. c: <3

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 12:03 PM

That's what Belle's been saying for the past couple pages. That her crew left her xD

Belle 08-11-2011 12:53 PM

-pirate pose- yes, because I need a reason to stalk this thread while I try and draw my OC for the birthday boy.

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 08:06 PM

xD I is the birthday boy!

Divinitate 08-11-2011 09:59 PM

hgfdkh
Happy birthday /sends pressie/

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:01 PM

O.O It's not like we ever really talked before today. It's not a big deal that you didn't know.

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:03 PM

sooo I've known of you for like... three years >______>;
/coughs/Spoke to you once or twice on Solia /coughs/
e w e
I like wishing well though ~

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:04 PM

Three years? That's a long time. xD
I was banned from Solia like... 2 years ago. You know that right? lol
Thanks, hun ^^

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:07 PM

I do. u__u
Which is when I was 6 months old there. It... outraged me lmao

c'est la vie.
Your name's always stuck in my head though :D! Annnnd I have a fantastic memory for conversations with people I liked xD

Welcome.

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:08 PM

Outraged you? lol
They were wrong about it though. I didn't do what they accused me of.

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:11 PM

Yeah, I've heard the story, which is why it made me mad
eAe

A friend of mine was just banned from there for, "harassing a moderator".
All she did was say that homosexuals are considered a minority by most people's standards and the mod blew his top right off.

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:13 PM

One of the admins had a grudge against me for some reason. For a while, I thought it was because I was gay, but later, after hearing other people had problems with him, I can only assume it's because he had a stick up his ass >.<

Shenandoah 08-11-2011 10:15 PM

*pokes at shop* Your art is so pretty, Alex.

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:17 PM

I think I know which you're speaking of, since I've heard from others that he's been mean.
It was such stories that made me a little leary about coming out as trans on there x:
But when a friend did it I just... let the beast out and started to poke on here more xD

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:20 PM

Thanks, Shenandoah. ^^

Div - Ah. Yeah, I can understand how that would be hard. I have quite a few trans friends.

Shenandoah 08-11-2011 10:21 PM

Don't mean to more or less rudely intrude on this conversation between you two, but... *blinks at Divintiate* I never met (real life or otherwise) a trans before. *gives look towards Alex* Met homosexuals before, though. Sorry, but I'm not too big on the slang words for 'homosexual' for the most part.

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:22 PM

Bah, nothing in life is hard if you keep trying at it :D!
But seeing such mean ness is... unpleasant.

Shen :
Yeah?
I have a few friends who are.
n___n
We're just normal people trying to find our true self :D

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:24 PM

Shenandoah - It's not a problem at all. You're very much welcome to intrude. haha

Div - Just people that don't understand. And people tend to hate, or fear, the things they don't understand. *shrugs*

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:25 PM

Exactly
The phrase, "Ignorance is bliss" irks me greatly too.
Since all ignorance does is breed fear and hatred x x

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:26 PM

Yeah, it really does.

Shenandoah 08-11-2011 10:28 PM

I experimented once upon a time. It was more of a cry for help than anything else. *smiles wryly* So, I don't really discriminate. I used to have a family member that was homosexual. He was a good man and my second cousins miss their brother every time his birthday and death day comes around. He had AIDS back in a time that the disease wasn't really understood and died from it, unfortunately. I'd give almost anything to have met him.

And that whole thing you said, Div, works for everything sadly.

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:28 PM

That's terrible to hear!

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:32 PM

Sad music + Sad story
u___u
That's so tragic.

Shenandoah 08-11-2011 10:32 PM

I remember him every time I eat a fried cheese stick, ironically enough. My second cousin told me how much he loved them and every time I see them on the menu, I think of him, too.

His dad didn't really understand how Buddy, his (at the time) only son, could be homosexual. It caused a rift (as it wasn't as socially acceptable back in those days where I am which is, sadly, only a quarter of a century ago). The rift didn't stop the grief, though, that his entire family felt at his passing. He was such a good guy from what I heard.

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:33 PM

Yeah... Unacceptable tends to break families.

Shenandoah 08-11-2011 10:34 PM

*groans* I didn't mean to be depressing. *headdesk* I think of him fondly and even though the story is sad, I know he would have been a good friend to me as I grew up had we had the chance. I get along pretty damn good with his elder sister and she said that I sometimes remind her of him.

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:36 PM

I've noticed in the US it is highly unacceptable to be different still in most places. Someone I watch on YouTube got fired from his job because he's a transman. Its.... disturbing. But one day things will be proper and as they should be.

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:39 PM

Shenandoah - Well the thought bugs me. One of my uncles has AIDs. He seems to be fine though. He's a Buddhist monk and seems to be living a good life. I admire him very much.

Div - Wait, what? That's really sad. I know some states are trying to put laws in place that are against such discrimination. I hope they stick soon!

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:40 PM

AUGH so do I!!
That is the ONLY reason I fear coming out offline as trans. x:
I'd lose my job, though... I may lose my job aaaaaanyways.

But yes! He was very upfront and honest with the hiring agency, he was a good fit, and after one day they fired him.
Totally bull.

Shenandoah 08-11-2011 10:43 PM

Quite a bit of the Southern states are stuck in the past. Up until my grandma forgot that my sister's boyfriend was black (she has dementia), she was vocally against a white and black together. Not that I have that much of a 'better' track record, all considered (Indian, Iranian, and Hispanic). The younger generations are transforming the general society into a more acceptable one that bridges culture, racial, and sexual preferences.

*mini rant warning* I get mad at people that start spouting shit about Iranians or Iraquis simply because the general populous doesn't think like the freaky ass terrorists. I get mad when perfectly nice Arabs are slandered for nothing they did. And I'm Christian. I don't like the terrorists. But I don't like it when ignorant SoBs start causing troubles. Like the guy that wanted everyone to burn the Kuaran (sp?). I was like... WTF?! That's like them burning our Bible!

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:43 PM

Div - Honestly, it's better that you have a job while trans, then looking for a job after coming out.

And that really does suck... >.<

Shenandoah 08-11-2011 10:45 PM

Div, it's illegal to do that. Discrimination, in any form, is against the law... in the states... Where are you?

Belle 08-11-2011 10:45 PM

-poofs in- I like to beat up anyone who makes fun of people who are different. That and my friends are 'in lesbians' with someone Note: I'm quoting what they say to people to get them to shut up.

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:48 PM

Alex :
Where I am right now I'm scared to come out O_O
Southern states + bible belt = Scary stuff man.
A boy in my graduating class was known to be gay, and he was kicked out of his house and no one would hire him Dx
wtfman

Shen :
It is, but apparently in Florida he has no rights? I don't know it was just...Horrible!

Shenandoah 08-11-2011 10:50 PM

Div, bullshit. He could sue for sexual discrimination. The kid from your class is a different story due to his family, but the guy that was fired because he had a sexual preference? That has "lawsuit" written all over it.

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:52 PM

Shen :
Nono
He was fired because he was physically a woman. They didn't want him to go into the men's room and forced him to go to the women's
Then he got fired because it made people uncomfortable having him in the women's room.
D|
Like... Really guys?! reaaaaaaaally?
