I think the Doctor is the man she killed that got her put in jail. And she didn't know who he was at the time, then started meeting him more and more. Especially since in that episode, they showed that pretty much all of their "moments" had happened already. River didn't have any "spoilers" of the Doctor, because he kept saying that they'd done all the things in her journal.

I don't have a clue how it's all going to come together, but I think the writers are giving us bits and pieces and they'll stitch it all up at the end.

Seriously, Ashy?! -grabs you, handcuffs you to a chair and forces you to watch season 5, and the 4 new episodes in season 6-

River is not the Tardis.

My reasoning behind this: In the first episode of the current season, er and Rory are alone, just before going into that chamber with the pseudo-tardis-machine-thing(btw, remember to re-watch "The Lodger" folks. You'll fall out of your chair when you start to think.), and she, for some odd reason, confides in Rory about her and the doctor. And she mentions that he seemed to know everything about her, when they had never met before, and she asks hin what he thinks that kind of thing DOES to a girl.(She then goes on to tell him the, very sad, story of how now, she keeps going back, just so she can see him, and it's the opposite: Every time, she knows more of him, as he knows less of her, and it's breaking her heart =( But anyways....) Yeah, there's my reasoning.

Also, gonna note: There's something special about Rory.

The universe will NOT let him die/vanish/be broken.

The Doctor is always more on edge around him.

River confides in him her emotions and story about the Doctor, evn hints at his demise.

He's fallen into stride faster than most, hell, even the doctor himself.

I dunno about you guys, but I see something weird in all that.

Also, yeah, re-watch "The Lodger". You'll get a kick out of it ;3

And we surmised ALL of this over the phone in the last week.

I finally got around to just downloading the last two episodes ("The Rebel Flesh" and "The Almost People") because my parents are TOO. SLOW. at watching them on On Demand (how they can manage to just watch one episode when three are available is just beyond me).

  Hiccup;; YOU'RE WELCOME. I fangasm, yes, but not to the point of some other people. Like theres this one dude I know, who bleeds the show into reality... kind of creepy, if you ask me. I just enjoy watching it, and trying to figure out whats going to happen. Theories are endless, because, well.. you never KNOW whats going to happen. Its amazing. xD;
  
  Johnny;; Bahaha. I freaking LOVED Rory in this episode. I've been waiting to see his "not so pushover" side for awhile. His devotion to Amy is awe inspiring, and... just.. so... SWOONLY. xD;
  
  And River? Heeheehee... I had already known who she was. But still, nonetheless, it was O________O; to hear it admitted. Evidence shows Melody is totally a daddy's girl. xD;

Like I said: while watching the DVD commentary for Season 5, the producers/writers mocked the idea of River being Amy's daughter from the future so I was like, "I guess that's not it then," and totally wiped it out of my mind as a possibility. Otherwise, I'm sure I would've considered it - if only because it is a lot better than River just being the Doctor's wife. Dull.

Of course, I've now learned that Steven Moffat's slogan for everything he does or says is apparently "...Unless I'm just lying," so I will not fall for that again.

And Rory is awe-inspiring and swoonly. xD

I've kind of loved his character since the finale of season five, when we learned that he'd guarded the Pandorica for two thousand freaking years just because Amy was inside and he loved her. He's probably one of the strongest characters of the New Who series, and the most well-balanced (with equal parts bad - his insecurities and dopiness in the beginning, and good - his general badass-itude).

• I started liking him in the middle of season five. While he's not my favorite character, he's most definitely a close second. I loved seeing him grow throughout the season, to be this strong, determined, stubborn as shit character that he is now. I mean, I agree with you, he has good moments, and "OMG, RORY. WTF ARE YOU DOING?!" moments, that I LIKE. I think he's the one who has grown the MOST through this season. <3
