Finished "The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets' Nest" the other night. I'm pretty sad since it was the last book in the series.
Also about to finish "World War Z". It's a strange take on what would happen if we were to be attacked by zombies.

Letiel 01-30-2011 01:00 PM

I finished and loved Gates of Fire. Probably my all time favorite book

.rousium 02-12-2011 06:43 PM

I just finished The Castle of Otranto by. Horace Walpole

It's one of, possibly THE first, gothic novel ever written. It's a bit less scary then it was when it was first written but I liked it quite a bit. It's neat to read it knowing that the thoughts were original.

I just finished Kathy Reich's Death du Jour. It's the novel series that inspired the TV show, Bones. Muuuuch better than the show.

I swear, Rousi, I'm not stalking you. XD

.rousium 02-16-2011 12:14 PM

Just finished A Sicilian Romance by Ann Radcliffe.

Batty 02-16-2011 03:07 PM

Caitlin Kittredge;; Bone Gods. I.. wasn't very happy with the ending. xDD; And I'm not sure if it was the last one or not. Haha.

Epiphany 02-16-2011 06:42 PM

Last night I just finished Kathy Reichs' Deadly Decisions.

      • the back passage. James Lear
        it's a murder mystery in 1925
        8D
        and down right hilarious!

i plain on buying the second one. xD

Tunnels by Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams.

Oh, good lord it was a boring book. And the characters were hateful and annoying and, as TVtropes.org would say, persistently clutched the "Idiot Ball" throughout the plot.

Tainted 03-10-2011 04:25 PM

"Love Like Ghouts" great book >3

Zenella 03-10-2011 04:42 PM

The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa.

They Never Came Back by Caroline B. Cooney
It was an okay book though the ending, I personally didn't like.

Fallen 03-12-2011 10:45 PM

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
At first, I hated it, but after a few pages, I came to love it.
Bradbury has such a way with words.

Serra Britt 03-25-2011 02:28 AM

The last book I read was over 6 months ago... The seventh House of Night book, Burned, by P.C. and Kristen Cast. It was a very enthralling story for some reason :3
Unless we count manga in which case I've been reading Negima lately :P

Rem 03-25-2011 12:47 PM

The Looking Glass Wars
I was disappoint :T

Awesome premise
terrible execution

Duchess 03-25-2011 12:50 PM

I ... FINALLY remembered the last book I finished @.@

It's She's Come Undone........ it's a fairly irritating book towards the middle of it. The main lead is pathetic. But, it's quite interesting to read stuff happen.... like rape, fatty lesbian sex and whale bonding @.@

I'd say read it... but only ONCE. Borrow it from the library or something. Definitely -not- something to come back to and read again

Serra Britt 03-26-2011 02:39 PM

Oh I heard about She's Come Undone by a dear friend of mine...from her description I'd have to agree with you Duchess.

Desmond 03-26-2011 10:14 PM

I don't remember what book I last finished. I've been reading so much for school, its made my head spin. o.o

Fey 04-04-2011 08:08 PM

As I read ridiculously fast, and a lot, I'll list the last three(cause I was reading them in tandem).
The Red Pyramid
The Looking Glass Wars
The Land of Painted Caves

Sushi 04-04-2011 08:40 PM

The last book I read was "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albone.

Definitely recommend it. Super insightful.

Sabrehagen 04-07-2011 09:33 AM

Last book I finished was The Wishsong of Shannara by Terry Brooks

Lovely series

Nanka 04-09-2011 12:31 AM

The last book I read was Harvest Hunting from the Otherworld Series by Yasmine Galenorn. That is the 8th book in the series and I'm currently reading the 9th book. I read Harvest Hunting for eight and a half hours straight so I could read it from the beginning till the end. xD

Phidori 04-30-2011 03:57 PM

.. Some romance novel I found at the library.

CupcakeDolly 04-30-2011 11:53 PM

I just got done with "Boneshaker" by Cherie Priest, and it was pretty damn good. The writing style wasn't my favorite, but good steampunk novels are few and far between. Hopefully this'll open the floodgates for more steampunk authors to get their work out there.
