My OG object head that I forgot existed.
|
Nice!
I kinda want to watch a TV show with all different types of object head characters now. Who else thinks this would be awesome? |
Only tangentially related, but back when I was trying to name CRT, a friend suggested, jokingly, RGB, who happens to be one of the two main characters in The Property of Hate. Damn good webcomic, still ongoing, w a lot of cool characters including object heads.
|
such 3D. i like the foreshortening of the legs & feet
oh fudge i remember reading that waaay back on smackjeeves but forgot about it after binge-reading and waiting for updates. RGB is such a fantastic character! ðŸ˜*💖 |
Damn good webcomic indeed, thank you for the link ^^
|
<x} that's really kewl! Speaker head I can see in a high school with all normal kids and despite him having a speaker for a head, no one seems to really care or notice. <xD And he'd be in a rock band.
|
I have *feels* about that webcomic. Especially pg 291-293. If you're reading and haven't gotten there -- don't skip ahead. Trust me. You need the build-up.
I *think* most, if not all, of my object heads are at least college-aged in human years. Or maturity, I guess, since CRT is over 200 years old. Fun fact: I actually shoved all my object heads, sans Speaker, into a band line-up at one point. The list was unfinished bc I couldn't decide who'd be the drummer, though now that I have Speaker, that's probably him. Or them. Not sure on pronouns yet. EDIT: I do like how I managed to do foreshortening and slight 3D without exaggerating a *lot*, like I do sometimes. I did mess up on his right foot, though. And his left hand's in an odd position, too relaxed. |

NEW ESPY ARTS ─=≡Σ((( ã¤â—•ل͜◕)㤠✨
all i can say is GOT DAYUUMMMMMM🔥🔥🔥 not a single line was carelessly done 💯 |
Actually, I uh. Missed a few sketch lines while I was cleaning it up.
|
it adds to the traditional-digital aesthetic
|
Also noticed that I didn’t clean up the background as well as I’d thought. Hm.
|
Updated D&D tokens (missing our wizard bc she did her own art and I just colored it):
Additional Clatter shenanigans: |
playing spot the diff w/ token clatter
that lil yellow bow is ..
wow @ paintschainer tho. the AI colored it well |
Clatter token's the same, Adra token has the additional bow that I forgot about the first time around.
Yeah, it took a lot of tweaking, and honestly it probably would have been faster for me to color it myself, but I also really like the watercolor feel. |
Those look really nice! I like :)
|
Thanks!
Finally had time to update the first post, too. |
YOUR ART STUNNING!!
|
Thanks. Though I wish I had time to draw more; I haven’t really improved a lot over the years (and perhaps have gotten even more impatient, looking at my art samples...)
|
stagnation
i feel that
|
And now that Suze finally has his birthday gift, I can actually post it!
|
speechless
oh fuck. that is so freaking epic
the glow, the shards, the effects--- there's always something interesting going on wherever you look! suze ya lucky bug!ðŸ˜* happy birthday!! 🎉🎂🰠|
Damn u good, kid
|
meep, thanks
i'm gonna go hibernate for five years now |
Trying to figure out Raster under all the clothing. He’s built sleeker and more advanced than CRT.
|
._.; *looks at robotic bod sketch*
>:c ....*tries not to be attracted* >://[ ...*is attracted a lot, imagining red lights across the waist* >x//{ ...*leaves before beginning to imagine cold mechanical clicks and whirrs* |
-cackles-
I haven’t figured out the details yet, but Raster’s body is, at places, less human-looking than CRT’s? Neither of them have a human skintone (or skin, for that matter), but CRT was built by an old scientist to be a sort of adopted kid, and Raster’s got a hundred years’ advancement in technology over CRT. Raster was also built to be lightweight (well, relatively), so limbs might end up more skeletal than what I’ve drawn here. (For the record, CRT’s like. 5’3” and weighs well over 200 lbs. Raster is around 5’10” and weighs... maybe 180?) |
*quickly returns and hides face in hands* >x//}
Robotic Rivalry is epic and the difference of advantage + advancement demonstrates the struggle of opposition in the best way, hnng!~ *zips away* |
Yeah, also CRT seems to be becoming my trademark character? Which is a little odd since he’s really young compared to most of my other OCs.
|
True, that. But...
1) even timeless classics have been young at some point and 2) people tend to change over time, so maybe your newer OCs closer reflect who you are right now |
Hmm. It’d be interesting to fish out art of all my more self-insert-ish character the past decade and a half, see how things have changed.
|
human!Ash from Warframe. Mostly just trying to figure out how I want to draw his hair.
|
More Raster body shenanigans.
|
Working on Inktober day 1 a little early.
|
that hand on the bottom is so realistic!!!
jk jk!! what list are you following, Espy? or is that your drawing for ring |
That happens to be Ring, yes, but I’m not sure I’ll be following the prompt list entirely. Took me a really long time to figure out what I wanted to do for this prompt and that was a little stressful.
(My Kingdoms of Amalur character wields chakrams and fights by basically flinging rings of fire at the enemy.) |
ugh your mind
I was thinking or doing the one ring like a basic bitch |
I was thinking about that. Until I realized I’ve never read or watched much of LOTR, so I couldn’t really do fanart.
|
Slick sketch there Espy. :] Raster too! (x
I'm a little jealous how well you always draw with accurate proportions.. >w> |
I have a very... scientific... approach to anatomy and art, I suppose. Comes w being an engineer.
Actually, you might notice that my art is always a little top-heavy. Reason is, I always draw sitting down, and I don’t check my art by standing up, so I often end up having to adjust/skew in photoshop after I finish. |
