I'd prefer it to be free choice for the line art, rather than having it exclusively tris related, but there could be a tab where the tris related stuff or "official" line art (if people want there to be official line art) goes.

by gallery are you thinking of a place to put the line art that has been coloured? I've been thinking that under the games tab we could put the uncoloured line art for the users to copy or download (which ever is easier on the server?).

That's really not too hard. I've implemented art galleries on more than one occasion in the past. The only really hard part is moderating it.

I'm more for the colouring book thought though. Users can already make their own galleries in the art forums. Would moderating a formal gallery be any more difficult than moderating what we have now? If a formal gallery did come in, I would hope/assume the art forum ones stay, since I imagine it's the easiest way to discuss drawings and allow for WIPs.

I'm all for things that need moderation! I think an art gallery (or even an art arena like Gaia) would be pretty cool.

Yeah, I forgot what Gaia's Art Arena is like. Anyone care to explain?

You scan and upload art or pixel art if you can do it and people rate it. It used to be a number rating deal 1 to 10, but now is a star deal 1 to 5 stars.

Yeah, the art arena was a place that would have weekly/monthly competitions based on certain themes. Art was then entered until the end date, after which the winners were announced. First, second, and third place won gold, silver, and bronze medals (respectively) that they could wear on their avatars. Fourth through tenth place won diminishing gaia gold prizes. People loved it and it helped the art scene bloom on Gaia. *nods*

I even have experience moderating it on Gaia, so it wouldn't be hard to do so here.

I was on a forum once (was a gaming forum) that did that for fanart of the game. I could see that working. A bit like the "Design-a-creature" thing on Trisphee.

Art Arena is a pretty good idea. I'll definitely keep that in mind, and so will, I'm sure, everybody else working on making Trisphee bigger and better. :D

Don't expect it next week, though. Still have some other things that are more important to complete, I think. :)
