I've only been here a couple of months and have explained stuff at least 6 different times. It would certainly be a helpful thing to have at hand.

I feel that vibe Ducky.

There's a difference. :3 Everyone's a bit crazy/mental, but not everyone has a mental illness. :3 |
Sorry, Arikana, I was trying to make light of the situation. I have to laugh about illness all the time, I just meant it as a joke.

That reserved post sounds like a good idea.
|
Okay so anyone who has a story, feel free to type out your stories here for the aurum, I will post them in a reserved post so that people won'thave to ask you the same freaking questions over and over.
|
I'll have the post up in a bit, soon as I catch up on the forum.
|
No worries, whenever you have a chance. <3
|
Should I write it here or in a private message?

Guess that wasn't necessary now, eh? XD |
I'll have to take some time to write up a good solid explanation of everything >_<

No worries all, just post the stories when you get the chance - though you might want to make the headline kinda big so I know what to quote.

I've had lung problems all my life: pneumonia numerous times as a child, asthma and bronchitis when I got older. Then at 40 I developed congestive heart failure, which didn't help my breathing in the least. The last time I was tested my lung capacity is about 50% and I wonder if that's not optimistic. I'm on four different heart medications and I have an inhaler for emergencies.

Condition Summary
when I was born I couldn't breathe, and ended up in an ambulance within minutes of entering the world. I spent my entire early childhood getting incredibly ill through chest and sinus infections without any real obvious reason. I was also almost entirely deaf for the first 4 years of my life. Since they had no idea what was wrong I was just labeled as having asthma. It turns out that the chronic lung disease (primary ciliary dyskinesia) I have was actually only discovered a few months after I as born. At age 11 I was diagnosed properly and given many ways to combat my condition. Now, at almost 19, I am doing incredibly well. Maybe one of the best success stories for my condition. I lost 10 of my lung capacity during the 11 years of mis-diagnosing, and have hearing loss in both ears (50% and 10%) through failed surgery before i was diagnosed. Otherwise I am fine and keeping on top of everything. I have even managed to work on my lungs bumping their capacity to an above 'average' level. As for other things... I possibly have dyspraxia, though it was considered a possibility to late for me to get any sort of help with school, so I failed pretty badly. I also have something like Junior rheumatoid arthritis, but they can't seem to get a solid diagnosis on it. There's a whole lot I left out.. but I think that covers the most of it. |
Ducky! DAMN! What do you do now? School? Work?
|
