Keep in mind that combining pluses costs extra coins. Adding the first +1 to a +0 sub on your team is MUCH, MUCH cheaper than adding the last +1 to your +296 leader. For HP and RCV, there's no difference which member of your team those pluses are on.

ATK is different because spike damage is a thing -- stacking tons of ATK on one monster is better than spreading it around the team, since only damage that gets past a monster's defense counts for anything at all. However, ATK also modifies active skills, and Two-Pronged Attack modifies ATK (1.5x when triggered), so it may not necessarily be the numerically-highest ATK monster that's the best choice. (Currently I'm working on plusing up my Cleopatra's ATK so that her poison works faster.)

So while statistically it's best to lump all of your pluses (especially ATK pluses) onto one monster, earlier in the game (that is, ml's scenario) your coin budget may restrict you to spreading things out.

When spreading out HP and RCV pluses I prefer to use them to shore up weaknesses (e.g. fixing Gigas's negative RCV) so that I can swap the monster into other teams without having them be too much of a drag on the team's stats.

Another point about conserving coins: Really crappy trash monsters (unevolved slimes/fighters/carbuncles) are better to sell than to feed to anything, and less-crappy trash monsters (chimeras, demons, evolved carbuncles) give better efficiency if you level them up some first. PadGuide has done the math for you in advance -- scroll down to the "Fodder Exp" section and it'll tell you the best level for the monster before you feed it to something else. If it's a lower level than that, you'll save coins by feeding the monster something; if it's a higher level than that (and it didn't drop at a higher level already), you could have saved coins by feeding something else.

BTW, the thing that keeps Shiva's power from being excessively broken is that monsters with low defense and high HP will interrupt your sweep. Most dungeons don't have multiple rounds of high-defense low-HP monsters in a row -- possibly because of this.

I was actually going to use low end monsters to stack the bonus things, this way they can only reach a low level at most and won't cost as much coin wise to add the bonuses to (aka those crappy trash monsters). As for the health and the recovery, I was just going to raise it for the leader for the health (because the ones that are good leaders will always be there for the most part until I get a better one) and spread some of the recovery out over other ones with some low recovery states. As for the attack bonuses I'd just do it on the strong duel element ones that I have because duel elements are awesome. owo

That's a good point, dual-element monsters get 10% more effectiveness out of bonuses to ATK. (And, as mentioned, monsters with TPA get 50% more effectiveness.)

thats what i was doing. o3o my archeachle has like +8+5+9 o3o, and then that tama that came with +3+3+3 i gave to my Odin xD

I feel like + eggs are a lot more common now than they were when I had double-digit rank. I basically didn't have enough pluses back then to even worry about distributing them.

during some events, tech dungeons have an increased rate of dropping + eggs so I farm for them then xD

And most of those events I can't get far in and get tired of doing lower dungeons, so I'll go to either normal or tech dungeons with an increased drop rate, they tend to drop them more often. ^^;

The starter dragons are really awesome now that they have their new uvos. All three of them give 3x ATK to their respective elements and 1.5x RCV to Dragon-types, and they pick up new subtypes (I know Tyrannos picks up Attacker subtype but I don't know the other two off the top of my head). They all pick up two Two-Pronged Attack awakenings, too, so they're also powerful in their own right even as subs.

Imagine a TPA dragon team with Kanetsugu as the leader, all three starters as subs, Draggie, and then green Sonia as the ally leader. That's a 2/5/2.5 team with lots of TPA and good elemental coverage, plus Draggie for extra spike damage.

(I still need to get Plesios evolved before I can build that team, and my Kanetsugu isn't quite leveled up enough.)

I've tried to build a Machine team since I already have Canopus maxed out... Ew. I'm not a fan. Even with Canopus's 1.5x RCV to Machine, that team only has like 500 RCV, its ATK is meh, and its active skills are AWFUL.

There aren't enough Machine-types in the game to make it worth thinking about yet.

Edit: I guess the Evangelion REM monsters would make a difference... but even then that's pretty meh RCV.

Maybe a mighty-glacier type of team... Hadar / Flame Golem / Ice Golem / Earth Golem / Machine Golem / Hadar. Lots of HP, crap RCV, decent ATK, 50% damage reduction up most of the time (9 rounds out of every 15), and a defense breaker.

63090 HP, 1000 HP/round auto-recover, ~1350 Fire atk, ~1000 Water atk, ~1000 Wood atk, ~1400 Light atk, and ~3400 Dark atk before 6.25x ATK... a piddling 528 RCV... Bind resist on every monster, orb enhance of every color, six Skill Boosts...

Blah. Still not good enough. Maybe if the Machine Golem were swapped out for... I dunno, Lilith?

Machine isn't going to work very well without REM monsters...
