raw as in unpasteurized?
there's a reason it's difficult to get your hands on, you can get food poisoning from it. |
Well it is unusual but the main producer for this part of Sweden made a batch.
It was quite good and almost tasted like smoked cheese. |
as easily as raw eggs and yet you can easily buy raw eggs from virtually any grocery store. the reasons for it are pretty awkward and speaks more about the poor hygiene in production
|
mm, smoked cheese is good.
as long as it's actually smoked. Sometimes so-called "smoked" cheese here is just cheese with smoke flavoring added, and smoke flavoring is pretty gross. |

ugh, smoke flavor is icky
|
actually quite a few recipes require eggs to be raw when consumed

regardless, my point was that it's a lot easier for the average consumer to fully cook a raw egg than to pasteurize raw milk. |
There is a french thing with raw minced meat and raw egg
And some people just like raw eggs for some reason. |
coddled eggs, soft-boiled eggs, pasta carbonara, mousse, bearnaise sauce, tiramisu, meringue, mayonnaise to say a few
|
Home made mayonnaise can be so yummy!

I'm really not sure why you'd take the risk, not to mention that it just sounds gross anyway. but I'm just talking about availability; it's easy to cook an egg, but the difficulty of making milk safe to drink makes it much more difficult to get your hands on raw milk. |
raw milk is about as safe as raw eggs. it's a media thing x______x personally i have nothing against either though i minimize my consumption of raw eggs, though, when i make cookies my motherinlaw and fiance both like to eat a bit of the batter
|
Take that risk? what risk?

Why would you get that?
