Yep! I had figured death was white because of all those depictions of dead people in white clothing.

Yep, so the meanings behind the attire itself is the same, but the colors for those meanings are different. XD But if you think about it dead people even in Europe would be wrapped in a white cloth in ancient times, so why black became a thing I don't know. And even at hospitals and stuff more recent in time they used white sheets to cover the dead, not black. And black is worn to morn the death of a person (seen this in animes as well just don't know why). So it kind of seems conflicting in the Western World and thus America. x'D

I think because of the black death, and I believe you are thinking of a death shroud; anime's don't always depict tradition unfortunately and many anime that do have deaths in them show it more western than eastern.

it's scary because kagu normally wears dark colors and makes her avi look evil. it's like she had a personality change when she wears brighter colors..

XD No matter how much he begs, I don't give him anything unless I want to. XD And you can still make evil/creepy avis with bright colors, you just have to use the right combinations. XD
