he shook his head "no, not really, it's code for what we do, theodores are the... drastic branch, we are the dangerous ones, the arsonists and assassins, the god-hackers and the otherwise unsavory, i didn't know who that guy was but he made it here alive so i called him a theodore, though he was not a good one for damn sure." he paused at the bathroom entrance to let the other go in first. he stayed by the sinks, he had gone while the man was asleep.
Samuel finished his business quickly and returned to the other. Leslie was still standing by the sink so Samuel drew the conclusion he had gone before now. Samuel muttered, mostly to himself, "And the hackers are the worst of you equal to the murderers."
he shrugged "our hackers have prevented more death than they've caused, and i am sure it'll please you to know i mean human life, not just life in general though there is that too." he watched the man wash his hands, the wrists wre scabbing slightly, that was good
Samuel did not answer that happy to let Leslie misunderstand. The wounds on his wrists were scabbing, Samuel noticed as he dried his hands. He was starting to feel nimb again, perhaps falling down the steps would help? Samuel dispelled the ridiculous idea imediatly not even sure for where it had stemmed.
he watched the techie suspiciously when the other spent a few moments too long drying his hands. it was not hard to see the other was rubbing a little too much and too hard an his wrists. as the man passed by he snatched up a passing wrist, he held it up so the other could see and tapped the wound with a finger "you were doing good before, leaving them alone. don't get back into the habit"
Samuel glared at Leslie and took a step in, planning to remove his hand while the other ajusted. Apparently his miscalculated the time in which he could move and Leslie could react. He was now trapped by Leslie who was still holding his wrist despite this Samuel still said as he had planned to before, "What habits are you refering to?" He said it airily as though he actually had no idea.
he pinned the other against the wall with his occupied arm and held down the man's other arm with his free one "i do not like your bad attitude. if you keep trying to damage yourself i will not have any qualms knocking you back down. you will leave your hands alone, this is not a request"
Same glared at his captor well aware of how this would look if someone walked in. His mind unhelpfull provided him with the phrase 'stuck between a wall and a hard place.' He mentally sighed then said out loud to the waiting Leslie, "Why would you care if I damaged myself? As long as I'm alive you get what you want."
he opened his mouth to repeat his earlier statement about keeping the other in good condition for negotiations but closed it again when he realized that wasn't it anymore. his scowl turned into a dead flat line "lima" he let go of the technician and angrily left the bathroom stalking back up the stairs. he failed his mission, even if they won he finally failed
Samuel watched Leslie leave before following him. He wondered what had caused to other to suddenly flee. It had been an unusual reaction to the question he had posed.
he did not speak to the other when the man came through the door. he spent his time instead reformulating his plan of action, he could not let the other go, the need to finish what he spent so much time on was deeply ingrained into his person, he was a well-washed soldier in that regard, he would not defect. but on the other hand the other had showed no signs of aggression to him or the machines. he didn't think the other would try anything funny though he worried that left to his own devices his hands would be ruined if he was not watched. he sighed and went to his spot, he folded into lotus and tried to relax.
Samuel watched the other mediate for a while, having finally found the common sense not to annoy him. He absent mindedly rubbed the place were the other had grabbed, he had bruises forming there that he could see but not feel. Something was obviously disturbing Leslie and Samuel was unsure of what it was.
when he had come out of his contemplations he noticed the other was staring. "yes?"
"Something is wrong." Samuel said simply, not moving his gaze. "With you or your current situation, I mean."
his first thought was to say nothing but he had been the one to ask and to be honest there was nothing the other could really do. "i no longer feel indirent to your plight and have empathy towards you. though to be sure this does not mean you are free to go." he looked away "i won't tie or sedate you if i don't need to but you still will be escorted everywhere, you can't leave my line of sight"
Samuel processed this then bit back a groan. Now his captor professed to understand and stated the Samuel was not to leave his sight. This made things difficult for the both of them and Samuel had a slight wish that Leslie was a bit more logical.
