If they didn't give you any reason for their long period of silence, didn't warn you that long silences happen, and haven't give you any WIPs yet they aren't worth whatever they are making you pay. Freebies are different though unless they are dirrectly promised while the artist is of sound mind.

For most artists, the color is their saving grace. But I'd say on a proffesional scale you line art is above the average and the color addes the missing demensions. But most artists while they can be amazing they lost that bit of life that is supposed to be in the colors.
