@Poggio: Rather good, I've decided to try and come out of lurking for a while since there are a few people online and it's not too late where I live :3.

How are you? And have we talked before ^^;? (sorry, I have a rather bad memory when it comes to people most of the time >.<)

@little: That's good to hear :D! How have you been?

Ultima 10-17-2013 12:57 PM

NO GET OUT :s-yell:

Hehe but seriously, we'd love a new face ^^

Poggio 10-17-2013 12:58 PM

XD probably not, I haven't been online as much lately. Q.Q Its Christmas where I work. At least the start of the 3 month haul.

Areishia 10-17-2013 12:58 PM

@Ultima: I'm happy to hear that :3. It's a pleasure to meet you *shakes hand* :).

@Poggio: I was at a supermarket a few days ago... they already had a bunch of chocolate santas and other X-mas themed stuff on sale... I have nothing against X-mas, it's actually my second favorite holiday, but I would really like it if stores didn't start preparing for it 3 months in advance (and ignore Halloween TT.TT)...

littl3chocobo 10-17-2013 01:03 PM

X''D oh ultima~

sore XD playing is fun but golly i feel like an old grandpa today complete with gray hairs and a penchant for liquid veggies

Poggio 10-17-2013 01:04 PM

XD oh I work in a craft store. We didn't ignore Halloween. Its just Halloween started in July and if you didn't get your stuff by September you are kinda out of luck. Same with Thanksgiving. Though this year is just annoying. Only because we are selling a kids craze and keep selling out of it.

Areishia 10-17-2013 01:07 PM

o.O. I never thought you'd have to pre-order merchandise that early! I guess it just shows how much I (don't) know.

Halloween is pretty much an imported holiday here that hasn't been celebrated for too long so I can understand that some stores forget about them, but it's still sad T.T.

littl3chocobo 10-17-2013 01:07 PM

dude, here there are still a handful of halloween things X'''D kidscrafts is loaded down, though yer the other half of the store is already xmas here

littl3chocobo 10-17-2013 01:08 PM

no halloween? ;__; it's my favorite holiday and the one o want to get married on(well the day before)

Poggio 10-17-2013 01:11 PM

XD its just capitalism really. They want to get the most money out of each season so they start early so that shoppers can think 'oh I should get this now'

Nope our store is almost out of Halloween and thanksgiving. We have had our xmas ribbon since July and the xmas crafting since about mid July. Now we are putting up the trees since we have the decorations and the lights. A week before Halloween we should have everything up and should be getting ginger bread houses.

Where do you live?

Areishia 10-17-2013 01:13 PM

Well, some stores do carry a few masks, but I've noticed that the big stores seem to ignore it. Though I do recall having seen some Halloween themed sweets in one last year but there's no trace of them this year >.<.

It's mostly just highschoolers who "celebrate" Halloween here since it's pretty new and schools (at least when I was at school) like to organise masquerade parties :3. A few students even come with costumes to school xD.

I guess the Halloween still needs some time to "take root" over here :3.

@Poggio: Well, it does make sense to have everything (or most of it) on display early, and I think it's rather considerate towards the customers as well since they'll know what they can expect (more or less) for the holidays. It's nice to be able to inform yourself early :3.

I don't like saying where I live but you're free to guess xD.

littl3chocobo 10-17-2013 01:17 PM

dude, if it were up to me xmas would get the can and halloween would be a whole week long

Poggio 10-17-2013 01:18 PM

I like the idea of masquerades!

pfft if it were up to me Carnival would be big in America and not just in New Orleans where it was originally catholic.

Ultima 10-17-2013 01:18 PM

O_O I go away for a bit and there's so many new posts! This is the Trisphee I've been missing -dabs eye with tissue- TTnTT

But sadly, I have to go to class. If the lecture's boring enough, I'll likely go on Trisphee on my phone >w>

And nice to meet you too, hon ^^
