Bleach is been running up there when 98% of it is filler and only 2% is the actual plot. One Piece has lots.

When Bleach ended, the author actually got tired of it and say "it's over, it's dead and buried" but the company wouldn't let him because there was too much too lose when it comes to the fans but the bottom line was that Bleach made a lot of money so when you end a popular series the money made from there is gone. So now the author/creator is forced to extend the series even more because of the company.

The anime or manga for Bleach? 'Cause I've heard the manga is okay but avoid the anime at all costs.

I think it was the manga, the author wanted to end the series so badly because it's overkill, but the company doesn't want him to end the series so the author made up some random shit that the final boss is still alive/resurrected

I didn't see anything like that on the Wiki. I thought they still hadn't stopped the evil dudes who where shadows of the good guys to get the 13th key or something like that...

Maybe, but I don't follow Bleach all that much so I don't know. I've read the first chapter and that is about it.

I stopped after Heuco mundo because it got boring. It's sad to see Authors unable to end their series the way they want to.

I don't watch nor read over killed series like Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, etc.

I read/watch series that aren't popular until a dubbing company like Funimation dubs it then the fandom skyrockets and then I back off from it

And it is almost as sad to see authors forced to abandon a manga they like to write for one they don't care much for.

And I have a foundness for mystery/gore manga so my choices are rather limited.

Okay. I was talking about a particular author I like who had started a wonderful manga that had a chance to be dark and gory but had to give it up cause it was not as popular as the other he was writing. And he liked the one he had started but needed the money the other brought in.

That sucks. It's too bad that Dark and Gory isn't popular enough among manga readers to sustain him. Q_Q <- likes dark and gory too

Yes, why isn't dark and gory liked? The other one was a bit more childish but originally had started out with an evil synicate who was killing off most of Tokyo to create some kind of zombie virus. Then in somehow warped into this abonation of kids solving petty crimes. Anyone else confused?

Hey, I love dark and gory. Maybe not extremely gory for the sake of being gory, but then again, seinen manga is delicious.

I'm not sure if the kids are zombies or not, I don't think they are. The main kid is actually someone who was supposed to be zombified but something went wrong granting him extreme intelligence or something like that. I'm not sure on exact details.
