I never said I wanted it to close, but I am not going to sit here and watch the thread die. This thread has one year of my life in it, and friends I never expected to make. It makes me feel like I am watching a person in the hospital. Every one else is making funeral plans for and I am not going to sit around and watch that.

And Cron while you were spending your time with DW, Rose, Rey, me and Espy and a few others have been keeping this thread alive.

I havent done anthing with DW since the summer.
I've been trying to get people to help with gathering members for a long time but no one seemed to either notice, or care- or maybe it just went un noticed. When I would ask what people thought would be good, yall said to get rid of or lessen the rules, which I did. Get rid of non-active members, which I did, and I even took advice from outside the group to change how I interact with people. While you may think I havent been doing anything while yall have been keeping it alive, I've been trying to keep it's heart beating. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears, because right now I'm out of ideas.

I'm confused. If you truly don't want the thread to close, then why close it? I really don't see why, now, there is a reason to mark the thread as closed.

EDIT: And as for suggestions, be patient. The forum site in general has been lower in activity than usual. Don't see the lowered amount of participation as anything directly affiliated with this thread. When more people come to trisphee, more people will come to the KoC, when you and the knights work for it.

Even if I don't post in here as much anymore, I still would hate to see this thread completely die. Like Poggio said, I have memories and friends in here.

Poggio 12-08-2011 12:08 AM

Have you learned nothing from the brothel?
People will come when they want. Funk is right.

As for my suggestions I don't have any. I will just do what I normally do which is post and have a good time and that is all a hang out is, and needs. I will pick up a thread of conversation and talk about it for a while. That is all I am expectant to do. Yes you've ran a contest, you've gotten rid of rules and you've tried to get new members but you are alienating your loyal ones right now.

Funkduder 12-08-2011 12:10 AM

Poggio, why did you change your siggy? XD

Because I've realised there will not be any new members.
I'm not going to have the thread locked down, or eraced, or any of that. This is literally the only place I even remotely feel comfortable on this site. People who were active members who did not want to stay here anymore chose to opt out, such as yourself and a few others, and others just left, such as Ultima. We havent had any new applicants, and as such the groups floundered.

I watched for 2 weeks to see what would happen if I didn't post anything, thinking that maybe the reason things seemed to be going down hill was me, and if that was the case I'd limit my interations and act more as a moderator of the group. But in those two weeks of watching, the group moved two pages, with most posts being by non members. As a result, I realised this is just a general hang out now, not a Group. So I decided to close the group and not accept any new members, because in reality there arent any new members, or people interested in becoming members. You saw my venting, but that was a result of weeks of pent up frustration at the way things had been going.

What I wanted was to have this group return to what it had been, be the #1 group on the site, but I didn't recieve one suggestion, on here or by PM on how to save it, or even to save it. I wanted people to do like I had and try to help the group as much as I've been trying, because I hit the wall, and I couldnt get over it. Instead, the third pillar of the group (Poggio) left, which I hadn't anticipated.

Granted, I've been more or less depressed the last 5 months, but as I've said before I keep my problems to myself, but I will admit that is a factor into how I persieve things here.

Poggio 12-08-2011 12:17 AM

@Funk: I changed my siggy a few days ago.

@Cron: Like I said I am not going to watch it die. I would rather leave the room then see the cord pulled.

Cronislee 12-08-2011 12:23 AM

And that's why the thread now reads closed.

Thaaaank you. I was wondering where I was getting that stomach-is-falling-out sort of feeling from. Augh.

Espy 12-08-2011 12:29 AM

...By the way. Eight pages in the past week. ...Just saying.

Mirror Gardens 12-08-2011 12:31 AM

Okay so...this thread is closing because it's been a little slow as of late?

Mostly due to the fact that I pointed out how I didn';t think the group would survive the month.

Espy 12-08-2011 12:34 AM

And that's our freaking out. There's a good reason we freak out.

Mirror Gardens 12-08-2011 12:34 AM

Well now...that shows alotta faith in the group members doesn't it? XD

Espy 12-08-2011 12:37 AM

Aaagh choking XD Been sick for forever.
