xD As long as you play with your familiars and open the gilded chests you get when they hit max level you really don't need to buy gems.

Imp Breed Change Scrolls were a kickstarter item there for no longer available. its why IMPs are considered a Limited Breed. Getting a Gen 1 or a Gen 2 is Super hard.
