D: Maybe Battyz should move from Florida to somewhere with a more constant temperature? :o

Lioshika 01-12-2013 09:13 PM

New York! XD We have constant.....constantly cold. >_>

Alpha 01-12-2013 09:20 PM

How about North Carolina? We seem to have cold and warm.....sometimes at the same time where Tiva and I are at.

Lioshika 01-12-2013 09:32 PM

Hmm, my mom wants to move down to the Carolinas. She think it would be better. -Shrugs- I like where I am. ^_^ Cronis says I'm Yankee and that there is no way in hell he would live up here. XD

But it's home for me. I've had a lot of luxuries in the sense I am in the country, but close to civilization. I'm not in NYC, or other big cities, but I can easily travel to them.

Alpha 01-12-2013 09:35 PM

Understand. The South has its charms though, that's for sure. There are locations like that down here as well.

Lioshika 01-12-2013 09:40 PM

I know, but he wants to stay in MS. >_< I'd be very much an outsider. My mom knows from experience down in Florida back when she was a kid. Our family had a house down there, in the areas not meant for Northern winter birds. She would tell about how when you were an outsider, people would treat you differently. Our family kept to themselves (Which was good, we had a little nutty aunt).

I'd rather not feel like an outsider. I want to live where I feel comfortable, and accepted. -Nods-

Alpha 01-12-2013 09:59 PM

Eh, they do. That is until they get to know you and/or you acclimate to the culture some. I was born in Texas, but moved around a lot. It was a challenge for a little while, especially in the south.

Lioshika 01-12-2013 10:04 PM

I know he mentions his mom was kind of still seen as an outsider. I just don't really want to be seen like that. The deep south is nothing like the North. You almost never fit in. I'll always be a "damn Yankee."

I just don't want to constantly face that. The Southerners we have up here doing work in our area are nice, but I don't know that they would be the same way if I was in their home town. Some complain because they can't understand me. >_<

Alpha 01-12-2013 10:07 PM

True. The Deep South is a culture unto itself. Why I prefer the South, such as Tennessee, NC, SC, etc. Bit less of a shock.....for them and for people who move there.

Lioshika 01-12-2013 10:15 PM

-Nods- I wish that was an option. But I really would find a way to keep my house up here. Mom has me slated to inherit the house. And in the event of her death and my grandma, I inherit my grandma's as well. I told mom, I had thought about in those events, renting out my grandma's house. It's on a main road, but it's pretty quiet, has a yard, in a good school district, bus route, etc. It'd need some work, but I would say it could be beneficial. She isn't sure she agrees with me because of dealing with tenants. I told her I've watched enough court TV to have a sense about me on making contracts. -Giggles.-

I enjoy doing some law things. I've thought about going into law, but I don't have funds and I'm not good at test taking (LSATS would kick my ass).

Uh, guys. I was thinking of something much, MUCH closer to the equator since the temperatures there are closer that of Florida's most of the time.

If I was going to suggest somewhere cold, I'd have put Canada out there a LOT earlier! ;3

Alpha 01-12-2013 10:24 PM

Hey! North Carolina is perfectly acceptable for temperatures!

Lioshika 01-12-2013 10:27 PM

I agree with Alpha. The Carolinas, for the most part, are stable temperatures. Oooh! What about Washington or Oregon though? They're nice too. I've thought about going to Washington.

Alpha 01-12-2013 10:28 PM

They are nice....but really cold at times....at least I think so.....

Lioshika 01-12-2013 10:38 PM

Some customers from Washington (Seattle specific) have said that my town is a lot like their hometown, only we have more rain than them. Ironically! We're always cloudy, but the mountains protect us.

Batty 01-12-2013 10:55 PM

Uhh, what part of Florida was that? Caaaause, where I am, its a melting pot full of people.

MOSTLY CANADIANS AND NEW YORKERS.
... who drive slightly better than Floridians. xD; JUST SLIGHTLY.
