I only hope there are tons of flashbacks xD so she can appear again.

Biomecha 08-10-2022 10:34 PM

Have you seen her in Sunshine? I'd like to see her in more series.

mdom 08-10-2022 10:45 PM

if I did, I don't remember... hm, time to add it to the never ending movie list xD

Hopefully after she gets the oscar for EEAO she'll have more offers

Biomecha 08-10-2022 11:03 PM

It has a good soundtrack too.

Yeah, I hope so too. It's been long overdue so they better be rolling in.

mdom 08-11-2022 12:06 PM

The only other movie I enjoyed this year was Minions 2.
now, am I joking,,,

Biomecha 08-11-2022 04:55 PM

Have you watched that many? I've started watching a bunch, but none have been that appealing. Oh, except The Last Black Man in San Francisco.

mdom 08-11-2022 07:58 PM

I watched several star trek movies xD I don't think I watched 'movie theater' movies much. Or netflix movies.

Biomecha 08-11-2022 10:24 PM

I wish the newer ones were less action focused. Or maybe they are, I haven't given them all a chance.

It's hard to get in the mindset of learning new characters and stories a lot of the time with movies.

mdom 08-11-2022 10:32 PM

You're so right Bio (as usual), I also thought the newer films were too much action and not enough philosophy!! Maybe the one coming in 2023 will focus on that and uhh not have any woman gratuitously nude.

That's true... and sometimes I don't want to commit to 2h. Yes maybe I watch series for longer, but I can leave anytime.

Biomecha 08-11-2022 11:42 PM

Didn't J.J. Abrams brag that he didn't even watch any of the series when he did the films?

It's been hard to find new series lately too that seem worthwhile. Have you seen Station 11?

mdom 08-12-2022 08:36 PM

D: that would make sense. I read on wiki that they wanted the movies to be faithful to the original series, but they could've left sexism in the 60s.

No..I still need to watch our flag means death!

Biomecha 08-12-2022 08:45 PM

I'd like to see a Star Trek run by a woman, series or movie.

Oh, me too. I keep forgetting about that one.

mdom 08-12-2022 08:49 PM

YES!! It's what the fans deserve.

Even my sister liked that one xD Oh, a good series from this year is Severance

Biomecha 08-12-2022 08:59 PM

I did see that, overall I liked it but felt like they drew things out too much for the sake of adding suspense and just couldn't appreciate Patrcia Arquette's character. I know it sounds weird but, Tramell Tillman has a beautiful walk.

mdom 08-12-2022 09:02 PM

I binge watched so there wasn't much suspense to me but I imagine that waiting a week between episodes must've been maddening xD
I hope he has a bigger role in S2!!

Biomecha 08-12-2022 09:18 PM

Like the timing of the last couple of episodes were drawn out too intentionally from what I can remember. But I like the style and I overall concept.

I hope he does more walking down hallways.

Surprisingly liked Ted Lasso too. Oh, and Peacemaker.
