How about crafting with pressed flowers? You could make cards with them.

Or maybe potpourri.

Echo- Oh that is good to hear. I will have to
check them out then.

Angel- I do want to make potpourri. I just need to find
the things I want for it. I have one I want to make but
there are a few herbs that I have to search around for
in order to make it. I need to look for them soon. I
really am anxious to make it. I'd have to buy flowers in
order to press them since we need to clean out the garden
area first and that is gonna take awhile to do since
the previous owner let a tree grow there and that sucker
is gonna be hard to remove. ; ; I need to look online for
ideas to do for crafts. I can't stand doing nothing
anymore.

Um. Hello everyone.
I hope you guys don't mind if I post here.

I'm pretty new to sculpey and I was hoping to get some advice.
My friend's birthday is coming up and I decided to make him a pokemon charm of this litle guy

This is what I made so far.
It didn't come out as transparent as I wanted to but this is the best I could do.
(ignore the black smudgy marks and fuzzy lines. The glaze shows up funny in this picture)

Is it recognizable without the cloud or should I do the cloud?
Is this any good? >_<

OMG Hero that is so darn cute.
Amazing job. He looks recognizable to me even without the
cloud. I guess if you want to put the effort into making
the cloud that would be fine. He looks great as is to me,
but I'm not picky at all lol. For your first time, you did
perfect. And that is a cute lil Pokemon to do for your first
sculpey. ^^

I loooove Youtube tutorials. I agree they're much easier to follow, especially when it comes to knot-tying, not that I'm into that kind of thing but I was curious about it and saw what amazing things can be done with hemp.

Angel Spirit Girl 08-14-2012 10:23 PM

Nice charm. I have made sculpy beads - mostly with fruit or animal patterns.

I was trying to thing of crafts to suggest that your kids would not get hurt on the supplies or such.

Hero 08-15-2012 12:19 AM

Sai; Aww thank you so much! <3

Angel; Thank you! I've never made beads before.
How do you go about it?

RedWineDrinker 08-15-2012 02:56 AM

To me they are considered crafts Wine.

You're welcome Hero.

I still need to look up all kinds of crafts to do up.
I did find a cool Star Wars craft book that I want to
get. Just have to ask someone if I can buy it first
lol ; ;

Echo, I meant to type 'Hero' not 'Here' lol sorry

I know many Star Wars fans. A craft book for it sounds like a great idea to get.
