Not silly at all, a lot of people do struggle with it. I was pretty mute in general most of my life around everyone but my parents. Even online, until recent years. And even then it's still a struggle.

I like how it forces you to listen to the other person and include what they were saying in order to proceed. Probably a good percentage of the population would benefit from that alone.

ah, i remember 'yes, and?' though it has its own issues x''D if someone is speaking in a way that is problematic or cruel it can come off as encouraging them, it also can make some people become quite self-conscious and unwilling to talk to you at all if it is done too often

>u> One of my favorite games when we would do improve was
"change" because it forced me to think on the fly, of something completely different than what out skit was about.
<x'D Some of the most hilarious outcomes of our bits came from these games.
Things took wild and ridiculous turns with just a "change!"
<X}
"I baked this apple pie just for you Aunt Liv."
"Change!"
"Well this isn't REALLY pie, there's actually a bunch of underwear-"
"Change!"
"Ahhh, you can have this. I've been saving it for Christmas."
"It's not even September yet."
"I know. It's fruitcake pie, it's good whenever!"
"Change!"
"It's good for emergencies like family reunions."
"Change!"
"It's not for eating it's for...punching!" <x'D

Those are always really fun to do also!

Since our class has been online, most of the games we play are more character-driven.
Last class, we did a game based around the idea of "couple's therapy" or "marriage counseling". Me and one of the guys in the group have pretty good chemistry, so it was really fun for us to act like a couple that's been together a while. My character and his were newlyweds and our "problem" was that he couldn't keep a job. I know this sounds terrible, but I had a great time tearing him apart for not being able to keep a job. C:< It was fictional, though! So nobody had hurt feelings in the end. >n<

littl3chocobo 07-13-2020 08:14 AM

was his reason that he kept going feral and mauling customers? 'coz that seems like a perfectly good reason not to be able to work(the boy ought to go on benefits while he retrains)

<x'D I was a farmer character with a gambling problem once, and I guess in our skit, I was more upset that my brother farmer went to Vegas without me, than I was that he killed my wife, lol. We were digging her grave and arguing about why Vegas is so important to me and to the family.
<W< I love improv because things can get a little dark or twisted, but still be silly enough that you know it's unbelievable and for pretend. ^_^ Space work is great too! But you gotta practice at it, and work with another person who can compliment your space work.

as an aside; i like the hair on your avi, merskelly. it suits your facial configuration

Biomecha 07-13-2020 08:11 PM

I might steal that line telling someone it suits their facial configuration.

Kory 07-13-2020 09:01 PM

Haha.
"Hey there... You know, I love the way your hair suits your facial configuration. *wink*"

littl3chocobo 07-13-2020 09:27 PM

Compliments confuse me,
and I never take them seriously,
but do I need them? yes.
-U- Do I appreciate them? yes.
I'll take any compliment...even the ones about my eyes. ;U; I still don't get it. They're brown. *shrug* Uhhh, like dirt...or poop.
I gradually try to view my eyes more positively tho,...to look more like a tigers-eye stone brown, with some gold color in it that shines in light. ;.; <3 Or with a glossy look when I cry...like smooth stones in a clear flowing creek.
;n; Thank you Avaaaaa.. *flops over*

<3 <3 <3

I have black eyes. When I was little, kids would make fun of me and say I was possessed.
You know you come from a small hick town when KIDS talk about other kids being demonically possessed. xD

I never was offended when they said I was possessed.
If anything, I kinda rolled with it. "Yeah, I'm possessed. You'd better not make me upset because I will unleash the gates of hell upon you! I will raise up an army of the undead and haunt you in your nightmares!"

Yes. I was a pleasant child. uwu

Merskelly Metalien 08-23-2020 01:41 AM

;u; Oouh, black eyes are underrated honestly.
My OTP has black eyes, more with a shadowy purple hue, but, like abyss-like.
^w^ All warm and enveloping like the void. <3
:T I wonder if there's such thing as grey/white eye color?

Mekatra 08-27-2020 12:16 PM

I've had such a thing for black scleras lately. I 150% blame my favorite characters from Hazbin Hotel...
