If you are on Andrew Jackson years and the trail of tears its no wonder. You still have to go over the gold rush and the age of expansion.

Honey 09-27-2012 03:46 PM

Who is Andrew Jackson?

Poggio 09-27-2012 03:49 PM

:O
Hes the president on the 20 dollar bill.
He's responsible for the trail of tears and the failure of the banks and the first depression in the 1800s by making pet banks.

Honey 09-27-2012 03:50 PM

Oh my ...I really should have known that

Pathosis 09-27-2012 03:51 PM

(/humms)
I'm Canadian.
We didn't learn American history...
I did take World History one year, but we touched base with Egypt and Greece and stuff.
xD;;

Poggio 09-27-2012 03:52 PM

XD its alright if you ask me a basic science question I probably would not know it. I blame your ill love of history.

ohh ^^;; sorry patho.
Well uh there was a movement in american history called the civil rights movement, and it was mostly headed by two people. Martian Luther King Jr and Malcolm X. Both had differing views of how to get rights for people. There was also a group called the black panthers that were a community group but soon turned in a gang that evolved into the modern day crips and bloods. xD but that is a different story.

>n> that second part I learned on gangland. I love that show.

Honey 09-27-2012 03:53 PM

That is because Greece and Egypt are much older than American History XD and not as horrifying by how disrespectful the people are.

Yeah, XD I think my mind just functions better with equations and numbers then names

Pathosis 09-27-2012 03:58 PM

Haha, it's fine. xD Nothing wrong with learning something new, right?
I knew about Martin Luther King. >>;; We have more American channels on our TV than Canadian, haha.

I actually only took World History class for the Egypt part. xD
I love Egypt~

Honey 09-27-2012 04:00 PM

Egypt was really interesting, though I have always favored Greece because of their polytheism, it has always intrigued me :3

Poggio 09-27-2012 04:01 PM

I am strangely fascinated by Russians and their literature some of their history. I did watch that history channel special on the kingdom up to the fall of the Romanov's.

Honey 09-27-2012 04:02 PM

That made me angry in my freshman year when I took World History. We had been learning about the Russian Czars and I had really taken an interest in it, but I was ill and missed everything about it. :c

Poggio 09-27-2012 04:09 PM

T^T poor honbons. -offers czar history books-

I should send you some of my Nobokav books. I think you would like them. Most of Pushkin and Gogal can be found on the Guttenberg project.
As for the Czars. xD to me no world leader can be better then the Medici's. I love Russia but man those Medici's are badass.

Also brb.

Honey 09-27-2012 04:12 PM

That year I actually had a pretty good teacher, and we were going to watch Anastasia and skip over the stupid songs and actually evaluate the history aspect of it.

Medici sounds interesting ;^; The name sounds familiar, but the other two do not.

And okay sweetie xD I will just work on math and chat with Pathosis~

Poggio 09-27-2012 04:18 PM

And back, something has been bugging my stomach all day. I think I ate something that I wasn't suppose to again but instead of waking me up it at least stayed down.

Pathosis 09-27-2012 04:19 PM

Sorry my replies were so delayed, I was watching episodes of .Hack//Sign. :p

Egypt practiced Polytheism, too, though.
They had multiple gods.
D:
The only interesting thing about Greece was their wars and the Gladiators.
I watched a lot of Spartacus. xD
Oh, you can call me Path, by the way. :p

Honey 09-27-2012 04:22 PM

Poor Poggi, anything that could settle the tumbin' tummy?

That anime sounds familiar xD I am trying to remember if I watched it or not.
And I recall D: But I just to not remember more than Ra, Anubus, Osiris, and Horus.
I have not seen Sparticus, unfortunately, but I have heard it is a good movie.
And nice to meet you, Path, you can call me honey if you'd like to xD or Hon, or whatever you'd like.
