Decorative feather headpiece that is mostly centered on the head or can fan out a bit. But not gigantic. And not overtly "tribal" like some of these examples are. Showing them more for the type of structures.

whenever the subject of pride themed stuff comes up, i feel like i need a way better list of flags to cover than somewhere like wikipedia supplies. and i also always feel bad when our color selection doesn't have exacting perfect matches to the real thing.

in all seriousness, you can try and get as close as you can w/ the current colour selection. i don't think anyone will mind. there's the lgbt wiki for pride flags and such, but there's a lot of pride flags for different microidentities. which is neat, but can probably be pretty time consuming. |

yes, the microidentities can make things difficult at times, unfortunately. less so if we're making flags with the intentions of being pride themed, but in the past, most of our pride colored items have been things that have a lot of places for color on them or already have stripes that make us go "hey, let's do pride colors"
which means that very different, or differently nuanced, flags with same general color schemes might find themselves in competition for the recolor slots ... which never feels good. but. i would rather do it in increments than not do it at all. |

i definitely wouldn't mind exploring the potential for a line of items like that for ultimate customization options. the only snag is i'd want the individual pieces to work as standalone items as well, which may or may not make things trickier. the idea of it goes well with posting rewards though, as somewhat minimalist background/border/prop decor

I mean, it would be easy to get it to work with the current avatar system. It would just be clumsy with a zillion layers for a single item. That kind of thing tends to motivate engineers to come up with better ideas. :P

i mean, i am trying to think of the most elegant way to do it with the current system, because it's rather my job to try and make ideas work with what we got, but i doubt i would complain if coda did make stuff for more customize abilities.
we actually might have somewhere to slot in a release like this in the item schedule, but i won't say when in case things don't get figured out in an acceptable manner by then. |

coda has an idea there. solid bands of colour that the user can mix and match at will with maybe five or six nontris coloured bg chunks that cover the whole 'flag' area so those sections can be left blank
