I'm not going shopping for books. I need to look at recently published fiction books (2000 or later) and pick three that have really interesting opening lines. Then I have to post those opening lines for my creative writing class... no me gusta. I'd rather pick some opening lines from manga that have really grabbed my attention. *sigh* I suppose I'll look through the yaoi novels on my bookshelf first, though.

The think is - can you talk to your teacher about it? Manga and comic books are the fairytales and folklore of our generation.
