Actually, I've watched quite a bit of SAO and I have to say I prefer Log Horizon. This is mostly because it feels like the main character is trying to cut himself off from everyone else because its very painful making friends and them dying on you/getting blamed for their deaths. And its even worse because they actually die in real life. That's just really dark and depressing and I cry like every episode just about, but that's just too heart wrenching to constantly see. And the Christmas event! T^T

=w= the attempted rape in SAO was a little redic.. she coulda fought back a tad bit more there =w= you have feet use them! Aim well -bows- USE THE FORCE LUKE!

I didn't get that far in the series, but with what I've seen of it I don't know when I'll actually finish it. ^^; I didn't even finish season 1, but already started season 2 for Log.

I should check out S2 of SAO but i can't bring myself to do it xD

Well there's a pretty good character in the gun game version of SAO but she's the only one that makes that season any fun to watch >3>

Same here, OMG! That's such a good series, and not one I would normally watch either. Only reason why I watched it originally was because she gets mistaken for a guy all the time. x'D

A bit of ranting that has spoilers in it. Read at your own discretion. Note, if its just not someone's cup of tea the show, that's fine, but bringing up points that are actually explained in the first episode and then saying it doesn't make sense why something is the way it is really ticks me off. Or just judging it harshly because part of the first episode, not even the rest of the show, is similar to another one but is different. (for those wondering people automatically disliked the show because its 'a rip off' of Host Club which is actually not an accurate description at all because that's maybe only three minutes of the show and the rest doesn't count because of how things happened).

I was reading some reviews of the anime and the low rating ones kind of ticked me off because there are things they don't realize about the show. Most of them kept saying how it's ripping off of Host Club. Granted yes she starts off being mistaken as a guy, but even before that happens she stated she was a girl! That's not a Host Club rip off because Haruhi never stated she was a girl before or after, she just let them figure that out on their own, where as Hotaru clearly stated she wasn't a guy and everyone ignores her. Its only similar in the fact that they were both mistaken for guys, and even then the story doesn't even follow the a similar trend after that either to Host Club. Secondly people were complaining about the 'overly powerful' things she does for no reason, when that's also for the most part explained in the first episode, she's REALLY into sports and I think they also mentioned martial arts. And guess what? Someone who's done martial arts for years and are masters of it (which can be seen by how she moves) can break concert. Then there were people saying the show is too slow paced but compared to most animes that I've seen that are action orientated its almost the same pace, and since its also a 'slice of life' anime they cannot make it as fast paced as an action one or else the slice of life portion will be too fast. Not to mention there are plenty of action animes that are slower paced than this one. Take Angel Heart for instance, that one is much slower but has a huge story to it that cannot be explained in an extremely fast paced anime. If anything Machinegun is actually faster than Angel Heart but the story also doesn't have as much depth as Angel Heart, thus no need to be slow. And the part where she gets that one look in her eyes can be seen as a bit of insanity in her personality, making her appear slightly more human in the fact that she's not unable to go crazy when someone makes her snap where traditionally unless its a horror thing, when girls snap they go blank. In her case she's out for blood, and then after being defeated in that state she goes blank. Which in turn gives her character even more depth then before. She's also one of those character types that's better off doing the games since 1. she enjoys them and 2. there is a chance of her going syco and start killing people, in this case criminals since she has a really strong sense of justice.

Why oh why do people not see these things when watching shows? There's more to it than what you see in the freakin first episode you damn ninnies!

People think DK is a boy at times.. OH NOEZ! My LIFE IS A HOST CLUB RIPOFF!

=o= thats just like my argument on the .hack/SAO/LH animes. Just because they have 1-2 things in common doesn't mean its a rip off.

6 boys + a girl mistaken for a boy vs 2 MEN + a girl mistaken for a boy.

I can already see the difference.

"But DK! Matsun is a Host" yea so are about 40% of Japan's male population! Being a Host (or Hostess) is common in anime. -lists about 50 yaoi manga that have hosts as main or side characters-

to be REALLY honest, I'd like to see the reviews for the anime by the Japanese viewers. Us American viewers don't really matter when the show is based in japan.

Now we matter when it comes to bringing it to the USA though =p

If only I knew Japanese...I'd totally read them. x'D But yeah, I was just curious as to why those people didn't like it as much and it was mostly BS that they were saying. >_> I don't normally rant like that about an anime, that's actually the first time I've done that. ^^;

I found a book that was inspired by the secret garden.. now this book COULD be called a ripoff cause the only difference is, the names are different and the location is different and how the girl ends up with her uncle is different.

Aunt dies in her precious garden, uncle locks up the garden, cousin is bed ridden until the lead appears (oh cousin isn't crippled in this story) lead finds garden, brings it to life with the help of a boy.. brings cousin to garden, uncle finds out, everyone ends up happy

because of a few changes, they were able to call it their own, but its the secret garden =)

anime people call ripoffs only have 1-2 things in common, this book.. daaaang xD

We need to make them read this then, and THEN they will know what a rip-off is.

THEY HAVE to continue the anime because: they have to explain that guy from the cafe.. (if you remember him) he was in the manga too =)

So go find the manga, it continues the anime 8D and the anime follows the manga very well so you can just skip to ch 17 or read the whole thing and get all giggly over Mattsun x3

lol, its busy around the holidays for my family. XD But I got scared on the 24th and 25th, the floor fell half an inch twice and scared us half to death. The supports for the floor are falling and at a scary rate.

Everyone keeps asking my why i still sleep on a twin bed and its like .. I'm short, it's only ME sleeping in it unless you count a cat sneaking into my room.. and I don't like drowning on those big beds. i feel like i'm being swallowed

I sleep on a full, I'm the right height for it. ^^; And sometimes the dog sleeps with me, and let me tell you he's a bed hug for such a little thing. .-.
