I only get one rank from it these days. :(
So. Hanuman. HOLY CRAP THAT DUNGEON >_< Now, fortunately, my healer team has 38000 HP and auto-heals about 16k per round. It's ridiculously tanky. (Thank you, DK's Awoken Amaterasu!) But I went literally ONE HUNDRED ROUNDS without putting a substantial dent in Hanuman's HP. One time I got him down to around 75% HP, but he heals very aggressively. Most of his attacks do 12k-18k damage, so I could tank him more or less indefinitely, but wearing down his HP was a very slow process before I realized I had a better strategy available to me thanks to my active skill loadout. My strategy became to keep enough offensive output going to keep his heals from making too much progress, then use Christmas Archangel's three-turn-delay active OFFENSIVELY -- delay him when he uses his "absorb combos of 6 or less" move, clear junk orbs for a turn, then use the next three rounds to make progress on his HP. Every 2nd or 3rd time around of this pattern, Sandalphon's active came up, and giving me way more offensive power for those rounds. Amaterasu's active was used not for the HP or bind recovery but for the skill charge as frequently as possible. Then when Hanuman's HP got down to around 15%, I backed off on the pressure until I had all of my actives charged so I could nuke him down during a delay so I wouldn't leave him alive at sub-10% where he'd one-shot me. @.@ And now I look at him and see that his max skill rank is freaking 21. They want you to farm that freaking dungeon THAT MANY TIMES to skill him up. |
I don't like that dungeon and am very confused right now.

DK, did you miss logging in recently? You've not been on my list, and I'm trying to farm on Hanuman for awakenings and skillups.
EDIT: Oh yeah, Yokuutsu, I remembered that I wanted to mention something. Early-to-mid game, the Ogres are EXTREMELY useful monsters once ultimate evolved. In addition to Samurai, Armor, and Ice Ogres, Shouki and Jyaki are considered ogres as well and they don't even need uvo'ed. Once they get active skills, they're the first major defense-overpowering spike you have access to. Bring an Ice Samurai Ogre into Ruby Dragon Infestation and its Freeze Strike skill can kill a King Ruby Dragon -- this is the BEST way to farm for XP at low levels once you've got enough HP and RCV to be able to stall until those skills are charged. It's tedious, but it's totally worth it. |

If I don't time my run of Experience of a Lifetime and if it doesn't come with the 2x exp bonus, then I get 0 ranks from it. sobs

I wasn't TRYING to. That's just how long it took before I figured out a better strategy. XD I mean, it's not like getting rid of the damage absorb would actually help me when that's a 2/8/1 healer team with only a 2xATK active. I think the absorb is just there to discourage people from using Gravity effects.
Fortunately for my sanity, Ginny and I were watching a comedy show on Netflix while I was doing it. Once I had the strategy down, I was able to clear the lower level in about 60 turns. |
I don't do well in long term battles >w>, i get bored... when my ammy team went up against zuse.. i thought i was gonna die of boredom >-<

Could be for gravity, but could also be to prevent spike teams from spiking. Most of my teams have been easily hitting for over a million per sub when I want to spike since last year, and the numbers are only going to get higher with power creep. I haven't found a need to use gravity for a while; nowadays I only use it if I'm bringing along D/L Hades anyway (color coverage, devil killer, no other options, etc). Then again, I haven't tried the annihilation dungeons or Arena xD; I'd want a gravity for Arena for sure...
Good thing for your sanity that you weren't spending 100+ turns focused solely on Hanuman LOL |
My second assault on Hanuman on the higher level was around 80 turns-ish. @.@ I'm not sure I'm going to bother pre-awakening him, but the skillups...

lol, There have been times I get so into the game for just one dungeon I don't realize over 20min has gone by. ^^; So by that point you got to Coda I probably also would have been trying to figure another way of doing it, but probably wouldn't be able to do what you did. He had protection from poison, right? Because right now I LOVE Neptune who is one of my team members. owo

I just can't kill Hanuman for some reason. I keep getting wiped out because of a unintended Skyfall or I'll run out of heart orbs right before my skills are up. T_T

I was thinking about doing poison too, ML, but I'm worried that poison would push me into the <10% range when I'm not ready for it. But he's totally vulnerable to it and that's a good thing because delay is how I do it.
Illu, I sidestepped that problem by using an auto-heal team. ;) But yes, the unintended skyfall has gotten me twice now... First two times I ran the dungeon, just fine, third and fourth time I wiped at <10%. |
I've been using co-op for Hanuman and 90% of everything else. Now I feel dirty LOL but ugh, yes, skyfall kills all of my co-op partners and me against Hanuman...
