Here is my bee biscornu:

I'm sorry for the fuzziness. My camera app messed up.

Right now I'm working on a kitty biscornu. It's rather cute. Really nice pretty colors too.

Ludovico 12-07-2010 09:35 AM

Those look really awesome. I really like the dragonfly one.

Saiyouri 12-07-2010 09:37 AM

Thank you ^^ *blushes*

Corovignh 12-07-2010 12:36 PM

Waaah, those are absolutely lovely! I really like the dragonfly one and the coffee break ones. x3
And you said you knit- have you ever tried making an afghan?

Saiyouri 12-07-2010 12:58 PM

Not yet, still learning. I was thinking of making hot pads/coasters first and then work on making an afghan. This way I can get used to knitting first.

Echo-chan713 12-07-2010 09:10 PM

I crochet & knit, but I usually crochet better because it's easier for me and I made unique items out of crochet, I made:

Tie
Coasters
Bow Tie
Hair Bows
Belt Loops & Stitches for a cosplay
Mochis for when I commission them
Dolls
Panda Amigurumi
Wrist cuff

I've Knitted:
Ear Muffs
Beanie Hat
Pillow
Wash rags

Saiyouri 12-07-2010 09:48 PM

Wow, that is alot of cool items you made. I really want to crochet, but I am still having a hard time with it. I guess it isn't my speciality ; ; But that's ok, I got other things I can do.

#FFFFFF 12-07-2010 10:19 PM

I crochet myself and I've made several different things with that skill. I prefer it over knitting because it's much... Prettier. The stitches and textures can vary more and then there's the fact that it's faster as well. xD
I don't have any pictures of the things I'm working on right now, buuuuuut... I will post some when I have some. xD I mainly make blankets though.

Cronislee 12-07-2010 10:23 PM

For what its worth, I'm a jewelry maker.

#FFFFFF 12-07-2010 10:38 PM

That's awesome at least. O:

Saiyouri 12-07-2010 10:40 PM

Cool. I have seen all the things you can make with crochet and it makes me want to learn it badly. And actually succeed.

Saiyouri 12-07-2010 11:21 PM

That's awesome Cron. Making jewerly sounds like alot of fun.

Espy 12-07-2010 11:30 PM

I'd love to learn metalshop....among other things.
And when I can get a pic of my dragon, I'll upload it.

Saiyouri 12-07-2010 11:32 PM

I can't wait to see it Espy.

Espy 12-07-2010 11:39 PM

Eh, it's just a really simple copper-wire thing.

Saiyouri 12-07-2010 11:45 PM

I don't even know how to work with wire. So I'm sure it's amazing.

Espy 12-08-2010 12:25 AM

Yay for blurry boring pictures.

Saiyouri 12-08-2010 12:32 AM

That's pretty cool. I definatley don't think I could of done that.

Espy 12-08-2010 12:37 AM

Why thank you :) I used a lot of wire for that...luckily my art teacher was nice.

Saiyouri 12-08-2010 12:46 AM

Wow, that is one nice teacher.

Espy 12-08-2010 12:47 AM

Hehe, yeah. I ran out of wire halfway since I cut it too short x_X And the wings are messy.

Saiyouri 12-08-2010 12:50 AM

I think it's still nice looking.

I messed up a couple of my biscornus. Like this kitty one I'm on now, I suck at french knots, and it's messy with the ones I did do. But I did improve on making them. I think I figured out how to exactly make them now. I hope.

Saiyouri 12-12-2010 04:53 PM

Here is Roberta's Kitty Biscornu:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...-11-214319.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...-11-214309.jpg

The sides are different. One has kitty paw prints in dark brown in each corner and the other side doesn't have it. I wanted to do one side without it since the first side looked wrong with that coloring in it. Plus I was about an inch off on one side. Don't know why it was so large on one side, I really wished I did. I hate when that happens. I hope to not do that again with my next biscornus.

Rika 12-16-2010 12:33 PM

Hey fellow crafters. ^^

I do cross stitch and sewing. My sewing isn't very good yet though, which kind of frustrates me.

Saiyouri 12-16-2010 12:36 PM

Hi Rika.

My sewing is ok too. I really want to be really good at it like my mom but for some reason I can't. Lol I made 2 halloween costumes, one for each of my twins when they were 1 and the pants somehow turned out upside down. Don't even ask me how that happened. I'm still trying to figure that one out.

Rika 12-16-2010 12:43 PM

Yeah, I would love to be amazing at it too. I can't ever sew or cut straight. Usually all my seams are crooked, even when I try really hard to sew straight. xP

Upside down pants, huh? Not sure how that would happen either.
Sometimes I accidentally sew things on the wrong side of the fabric, so I have to pull all the stitches out and re sew everything.

Saiyouri 12-16-2010 12:51 PM

I've done that before. Some of my stitches are crooked too. My problem is at times I sew too fast and I have a hard time controlling the speed of the machine. It's like my body wants to go fast but I want to go slow. I hate it.

it take alot of practice to get it. I had to learn it from a specific person because I'm left handed

Saiyouri 12-16-2010 05:09 PM

Wow that is weird. But I guess being left handed it's alot different doing things.

Saiyouri 12-17-2010 09:43 AM

Here is my pumpkin biscornu that I just finished yesterday:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...-16-184055.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...-16-184041.jpg

I started my next one and it's a cute kokeshi doll. Plus I set this one and my red kitty biscornu up for sale on ebay. I'm hoping they both sell soon.

This is really exciting. I can now sell my works of art.

I would set up some of my regular pieces, but there aren't any that I would set up. I have a few of them that are finished and not done with, but who would want to buy a orange mori or a scene that is messed up of fish in the ground. I made a mistake on it, not like anyone can tell lol. Now if I sold my japanese fan, that would sell instantly and for alot, but I really want to keep that and give it to my husband for a christmas gift this year.

I have some that are done, that are hung up in the house, but not sure if there's any that I would want to sell. I guess I could look and see if there is. Which I might just do now.

Rika 12-17-2010 10:00 AM

Very cute biscornu! Have you thought about selling on Etsy?

Here are a couple things I've made. Just a baby toy and a dice bag. Click on them to see them better.

Saiyouri 12-17-2010 10:05 AM

Those look really nice.

I would but we can't anymore. My husband tried selling somethings there and he sold 2 items, well both were received by the buyers and they left good feedback for him. Well etsy kept on sending him emails saying he never shipped an item and he did respond to them and told them he did and they left feedback for him already. Well just 2 days ago they sent another email saying they are closing his account for good because he never shipped an item he doesn't even remember ever having and it isn't listed on his list of things that sold. >.> Otherwise I would sell it there.

We have so many crafting things we now have to sell on ebay. We bought them dirt cheap and wanted to resell them online for extra income in the house. Now we have to set up a store on ebay and get them all set up there now.

Rika 12-17-2010 10:18 AM

Wow, that's really weird. o.O Nevermind then. xP I look at things there all the time, but have never used it to sell anything.

Yay for income! I need to do some more baby toys and try and sell them.

Saiyouri 12-17-2010 10:21 AM

That's a cool idea.

I'm taking a picture of a different finished cross stitch piece I made and I think I'm going to sell it. It's 2 pandas sitting with the chinese characters for happiness going down between them.

Saiyouri 12-17-2010 10:44 AM

Here is what it looks like:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...-17-082505.jpg

Just uploaded the picture.

Echo-chan713 12-17-2010 03:00 PM

0-0 I wants it for my future apartment.

Saiyouri 12-17-2010 03:13 PM

Hehe, thank you.

Rika 12-17-2010 03:20 PM

It's very cute. ^^ Did you design it yourself?

Saiyouri 12-17-2010 03:21 PM

Thank you. I followed a chart.

Rika 12-17-2010 03:29 PM

I always follow a chart. I do have some software that would allow me to make my own designs. I haven't really used it yet, but I plan on.
