I just think that a house should have a lot of books. I imagine if we have a zombie apocalypse and can't get to the library, we would have so many books to read! Yup, that's my reason for buying so many books.

My goal is to read at least 50 books in 2017.

I also have some mini goals to read:

At least 10 books that I own but have not read before.

At least 10 books that I have already read before.

At least 10 books from the library.

Sanssouci: good goals I might secretly borrow a few, like reading 10 books i already own.

so as it turned out, i read 32 books in 2016. so my goal this year is 32 or more books for 2017. =)

Trystan I read 37, which was low for me, I usually read 50+

My reading went down when I started reading the news on my phone. I was commenting and becoming involved in the events going on. It was ridiculous, now I find I am doing it less,so I'm reading more.

Kitarun: My local library has mostly kid or YA books... or classics that I've already read :( it's not a big, well funded place.

Actually, it seems that I am. Being busy keeps me out of trouble? XD

Time to finish all my half-read books so I can start 2017 off strong and then flounder and fall behind schedule a month later!

I usually read between 50 and 100 books a year. But for 2016 I only read like 35, maybe 36.

I only read 35 which is pretty dismal for me. But I read mostly non-ficton.

I think my number was lower in 2016 because I didn't read as much manga as usual.

my numbers are low because i crochet, and then in november i write NaNo. :)

I crocheted a lot in 2015, but I slacked on that in 2016 too. Partly because I broke my finger.

ow! a broken finger sounds very painful!

It was my first broken bone! It's been about 6 months, and it's still not healed. Well, the bone is. But my fingernail is still pretty messed up.

wow! Sanssouci still having issues with it, that's a long time, have you seen the doctor at all?

I saw a doctor when I first broke it. I can't really afford to go back. I think it will be all right on its own eventually though. First it turned like a black and white tie-dye and was really sensitive. Then it detached at the cuticle. Then the nail started to grow out. It's about half grown out now. So now the half closer to the cuticle is a nice new healthy normal nail. And the half closer to the tip of my finger is a weird ridge of double nail where the old nail is I guess on top of the new nail. It's getting less and less sensitive now.

Well at least there is improvement.
I have a very nice scar from my fall in the shower. Do you remember me talking about it? Well its pretty obvious and it itches like crazy at night.

I'll get a couple books there and start reading.

i haven't started either.... i have a book that's being transferred between branches of my library so i can pick it up at a branch closer to me than the one where the book is actually at. i might get it tomorrow or friday.
