Nope I usually sleep for 14 hours straight.

DarkWolfrin 09-19-2010 11:06 AM

Yuki-
Oh I see.
I was doing so when I was living with my parents, but not anymore.

At least you have plenty to energize your body (: .

Sleeping for 14 hours iiiiissss nooooootttt heeeeeeallllthyyyy.

You shouldn't do it, even if you feel like your body needs that many hours of sleep. Once you pass the usual 7 or 8 hours, your body actually has to work to keep you sleeping, which makes you even more tired and damages your health.

Yuki 09-19-2010 11:10 AM

No actually I'm still tired. Doesn't matter if I sleep 5,8, 10, or 12 hours...

Sadrain 09-19-2010 11:15 AM

Probably because you're not used to one certain amount. When I sleep certain amount somewhere around 8, I do feel more awake than sleeping 12 for a whole week. 38

Yuki:

Try set a schedule for sleeping, and stick to the schedule. It takes your body two weeks to adjust itself to a new circadian rhythm, and any deviation from the schedule - pulling an all-nighter, sleeping for a longer period of time, or sleeping for a shorter period of time - will mess it up and you'll have to start again. If you don't let your body adjust to a sleep schedule, it won't have the proper energizing effect.

Also, try to keep your schedule in 90-minute installments, which is the amount of time the body needs to cycle through all four stages of sleep. That means the best sleep is for about seven and a half hours.

Barring that, it could be your actual bed that's causing the problem. I know that my current sleeping materials (a pile of blankets on the hardwood floor. xD) isn't exactly helping me to be bright and sunny in the morning.

Yuki 09-19-2010 11:25 AM

My biggest problem is falling asleep so when I do fall asleep I'm half dead.

Sadrain 09-19-2010 11:33 AM

I usually can fall asleep easily, only if I am kinda dead tired and therefor, I usually don't feel rested after those 6-7 hours in the end, and it lasts to the next day, sometimes I nap in the middle and it doesn't help either. Most of the herbal sleeping pills don't help either, at least, not to me.

Sadrain 09-19-2010 11:34 AM

And! -cry- My room can become total mess in elss than two days! -goes on cleaning rampage-

EDIT: Zomg! Skimming over my old fan fictions, I re-found the name of the song I used to love which leads to this amazing Japanese sound designer/composer. (I simply fail to remember those names @o@) <333 I'm happeh kitteh now!
