I have trouble retaining vocabulary, too. the grammar is easy but I haven't studied the words or kanji in so long. I used to think the occasional sentence in Japanese, but I can't remember enough of it anymore.

I think Japanese language is beautiful, but I have never really considered learning it.

It's gonna take up years of your time so really do think over it. xD Many people give up cause it's taking time. My sister suddenly considers giving up...I think it's stupid...But she has a boyfriend and blah blah. Meh...

I would love to be able to read haikus in original, though. >o> But that's about only reason why I would want to learn Japanese at the moment. XD

Japanese is really beautiful, but also very hard to learn. I took 3 classes of it last year. There were two classrooms full of section 1 students, one classroom full of section 2 students, and only 11 section 3 students. XD the ironic part is that section 3 was easier than section 2. everyone just gave up after starting to learn all the kanji.

I think I am going to write. I am in a sad mood and this isn't a happy place in story, so I should be able to do it. -goes to find a fitting music-
