I keep finding more things to add to it and it makes me so very happy.
the apron is honestly a little too perfect on the hotdog
Mekatra - i sent you some extra goodies too! =)
AHH Thank you!
You have no idea how happy I was when the apron fit on there and looked right. |
you're quite welcome!
oh my gosh you guys are too much!!
We...do have a few whip items...which I could tag for you if only my inventory wasn't so bloated that it keeps crashing my browser.
I'll find them over time. Part of the fun of a new avatar site is digging in and finding new things. You guys have all been so helpful so far.
Plus, I feel like I need to sit back and amass a bit of a fortune of my own making before I go shopping again lol. |
amass for tomorrow, when i do our weekly commons release
I shall post like the wind then. Luckily it is my day off so I have nothing better to do with myself other than play around online (okay I am supposed to be spinning today but it is chilly outside and I don't wanna do flax inside.)
i'm a busybee today
or i'm supposed to be, haha |
Everyone has to take breaks on occasion. Don't overwork yourself!
But also don't fool around too much lol. |
*spies on galla* ouo
FOOLS AROUND HARDER
No...stop...don't do it...
Ugh I have to actually put on real clothes and run to the store. |
lame
i lowkey haven't started any of the rig items that i need to have done in 2 days and i have to go running around for irl nonsense tomorrow so lol i'm about to have a fun next 12 hours |
i'm almost done work! i finish 3 p.m. eastern time, mon-thurs. today after work, i'm picking up younger daughter and a friend, and taking friend home. when younger daughter and i get home, i have a show from friday to catch up on and some crocheting to work on. =)
I believe in you!
I finished my work *wipes imaginary sweat away*
Woo hoo! Have a cup of tea or hot cocoa to celebrate!
I hope I can get done with work in time to work on my NaNoWriMo story.
I believe in you too. Do you do word sprints or crawls to make yourself go faster?
i've already failed at it xD
Hello everyone, I hope all are doing well today! |
I got the yarn I was making plyed and hanging to dry. I am watching that Cooks vs. Cons show and I can't help but feel like I would enjoy it more if they were convicts instead of just home cooks pretending to be professional ones.
How're you, dear? |
Haha! That would make a good show actually, when you said cons initially that is exactly what I thought. Ooh you make yarn? That is a time consuming task isn't it? I am doing alright, just watching The Cat in the Hat with my son, and listening to some K-Ballads. I am not ready to let Autumn go even though we have a ton of snow, so these ballads help me out hah. |
i've made plarn... plastic yarn. it's quite time-consuming. i made a tote bag out of my plarn~
Okay so... I know the name should be fairly self explanatory, but what the heck is plastic yarn?
It takes a bit, yeah, but I've gotten a lot faster at spinning the wool. I have a friend that can do it at nearly twice the speed I do though. I can spin maybe 200 feet of single yarn an hour if I stick to it and not take any breaks, then I have to ply it with another single so... Like a hundred feet of actual useable yarn every hour? lol |
probably cut up shopping bags? I mean at least, I used to have a boss who crocheted purses out of shopping bags.
Well that's utterly fascinating. :O If I were any good at crocheting I would probably give this a try and keep a couple in my car for when I go grocery shopping. I used to keep a laundry basket in my car for when I went but I broke it and keep forgetting to replace it. If I had a couple of these I could just stuff them under the seat...
Maybe I could get my mom to crochet one... |
I have never heard the word Plarn before but I absolutely love it, also your bag looks lovely! Very durable too I would imagine no? |
Mekatra - yep, glitch got to it before me... it's made from plastic bags, but i found that the wimpy grocery store bags broke the easiest.
here's another tutorial. Grimalkin - actually, it is pretty durable, but i don't use it a lot actually. |
Thank you for sharing the link, Glitch!
Edit: and thank you too trystan! I think it would be an interesting possibility to make flip-flip style thong sandals out of these for people that can't afford shoes. |
ooh, flip-flops would be a neat idea too!
I checked it out on Pintrest, apparently there are a lot of patterns for it. None I can make because crochet is witchcraft that is out of my realm of powers, but someone as skilled as you could probably make them in your sleep.
i wish i could crochet in my sleep... LOL!
Have you tried it? XD You never know, you may have a hidden talent.
I think I could probably make chainmaille in my sleep... |
LOL...no, i haven't tried it.... but i think i would have tried writing in my sleep during NaNo, but that didn't happen either.
(although two of my NaNos were the result of things that i dreamed though....) |
