I'm glad I'm not the only one who wails at my cats, then. XD

A moment in life...
No matter how old, Cartoons from childhood Always seem MORE entertaining than they may of been growing up. But I'm unsure how this works.

Because you can understand all the subliminal messages and dirty jokes when you're older! Plus, at least for me, I actually pay attention to the plot and understand what is going on in the show.

Fulkth 06-20-2016 11:43 AM

My cat always whines when I tell him that he is not allowed into our bedroom. He's usually really good, but he does sneak in sometimes.

Potironette 06-20-2016 02:16 PM

I never realized it before, but eggs are cheap. Really cheap. Compared to buying other things in the shop.

What do the eggs give you? Is it just like a random item in the shop (so you have a chance of getting items that cost runes)?

Fulkth 06-20-2016 04:41 PM

The egg gives you a random limited time item. It's kind of like a rig item, but it is bought with regular currency instead of thru cash donations.

Oh, it's only for a limited time? :c That's kinda lame.

Fulkth 06-20-2016 05:02 PM

lol, most everything is limited time unless it's in the common shop.

Event items are only for the event, monthly items are only for the month, etc.

No worries though. I barely post and I've bought 5 of these eggs already.

Potironette 06-25-2016 01:09 AM

I'm kind of grateful I can't easily tell how much aurum is in the crane game. This way it doesn't feel bad when I blow all my tokens on 100's then later see a 250 or 500 in there xD

bluebird 07-05-2016 09:34 PM

I wonder how much crane game items are worth. I'd love to trade them in for aurum. >u>

Coda 07-06-2016 12:26 AM

Well, that's what the Merchant Square forum is for! :) You can start a thread there asking for offers, or look around for other threads to see what they've sold for in the past.

bluebird 07-07-2016 02:46 AM

[[vending intensifies]] 8^))) Thanks for the suggestions!

RinLin 07-09-2016 07:06 PM

Okay, this might come off as odd, but here goes:
On of my moms brothers is by deaths door. Now, it would normally feel sad and all, but I have never liked him. I was even afraid of him when I was a kid.
He was also really mean to my mom when they were kids, I think it affects my opinion of him.
If he dies, I am not sure I will attend the funeral. I have never really had any interaction with him, and I basically feel nothing about his status right now.
Does this make me a horrible person?

Coda 07-09-2016 10:33 PM

Not at all. You didn't have a relationship with him. You shouldn't be expected to mourn. Obviously you should show respect and condolences to the people who ARE mourning, but you yourself are under no obligation.

Your mom might appreciate having someone strong around for emotional support.

RinLin 07-10-2016 06:09 AM

My mom feels the same way, but is somewhat conflicted over going or not. She thinks it's the little "good girl" that sets in, and I agree.
But her brother as awful to her, and I have told her that she doesn't have to go if she doesn't want to. Plus, she hopes the funeral will be when she's visiting my sister in another town.

Fulkth 07-11-2016 03:13 PM

Hey everyone!

I haven't been here in awhile so I thought I'd stop by to say hi. :)

How was everyone's 4th of July?

RinLin 07-11-2016 06:24 PM

Pretty good! But, I don't live in the US. xD
I went home from my sister that day, and our oldest cat turned twelve! :D

trystan830 07-11-2016 07:44 PM

hey there, Fulkth!

i didn't do much on the 4th. =)

SparX 07-11-2016 11:12 PM

Mine was a blast for the most part XD
I had quite a bit of hostessing to do as usual but nothing I can't handle, and we had smores =D

Lawtan 07-12-2016 12:25 AM

We didn't celebrate this year. (Worn out from family business)

Plenty of explosives nearby, though.

RinLin 07-16-2016 03:33 PM

I made an accurate GIF. :3

I like to avoid insulting other sites, personally, but... People who say Gaia is the best avatar site probably don't go to many others. :P

RinLin 07-17-2016 03:44 PM

Let up a little. :3 I've been there for 10 years, and it's just... wth happened? XD

Coda 07-17-2016 10:44 PM

"Best" may be objectively true according to certain metrics. It certainly has the most users, probably the most 30-day-active users, possibly the most items, possibly the most available different poses for the bases, and almost certainly the most revenue.

RinLin 07-18-2016 11:55 AM

But it's elitist as fudge. You are judged by your avvie, people will hate on you if your art is "ugly" and you are expected to know everything from the start.

Coda 07-18-2016 12:04 PM

Oh, I didn't say it was the best community. :P

RinLin 07-18-2016 07:25 PM

True. 8D I must have mixed up your reply with another one on another site. xD

Glitch 07-24-2016 04:28 PM

so I am allergic to perfumes.

Normally it's not an issue but days like today for some reason everybody has put lots on. Since I am a receptionist the various smells gather in my little waiting room and my nose stuffs up and my ears plug up and I turn into a yawning mouth breather and it is the pits.

bluebird 07-24-2016 06:51 PM

maybe it's from the deoderant. it's so hot out DX

brb drowning in a pool of my own sweat

Glitch 07-24-2016 08:19 PM

i'm lucky enough to be in the north west which is rebelling from the heat.

Granted it feels hot but it's like not comparatively.

SparX 07-25-2016 02:48 PM

It was REALLY hot in Ohio, you would hate it there glitch.
I did, weather wise XD
REALLY hot.
Even when it down poured it was high 80s

Glitch 07-25-2016 02:53 PM

you must be relieved to have rejoined me here in the northwest.

SparX 07-25-2016 03:04 PM

When we were driving it was 70
glorious.
The heat AND humidity was so bad I sweated standing still under a shade with a fan on me.

Glitch 07-25-2016 03:36 PM

that sounds pretty horrendous

RinLin 07-26-2016 11:05 AM

It's been like 30-40 degrees here for days. :o

trystan830 07-26-2016 11:09 AM

another day in the 90sF here... yesterday was 96F/35C, but i think i saw on the news it got up to 99F/37C. today's high is 'only' forecast at 94F/34C... but not as humid.

bleh. is it fall yet??

Coda 07-26-2016 11:30 AM

Hey, I'll take 99°F over the 1500°F it is on the other side of the mountains right now.

trystan830 07-26-2016 11:33 AM

yeah, you have a point there.

oh no, are you in california? *sends a ton of rain out your way*

Coda 07-26-2016 11:41 AM

The "Sand Fire" is, as I mentioned, on the other side of the mountains from where I live right now. I can see the smoke plume in the northwestern sky (well, technically I can see the smoke plume in MOST of the sky, because it's huge). It's about 30 miles northwest-ish of here as the crow (or the tanker plane) flies; I could drive there in under an hour.
