Been at my sister's farm for two weeks, helping clean up and minding the animals. Barn warming party in the beginnig of August, same day as my new nephew is due, and a major dog show at the end of the month. AAAAhhhh!

ono mom said if we could find a place that allows dogs that i could get a shiba.. now she's all "no i dont like dogs" ;-;

My sister's mastiff aren't allowed in the main house, but she spends all her time in the "dog room" and outside anyway so they're pretty much always together. They are love sucks though. You want in to see them and the three of them are right there, "pet me! I'm happy to see you! It's lonely in here!" I have a housecoat I put on called my "Mastiff shield" because one is caked in dog hair and spit within 30 seconds. They know they don't fit in your lap but they will put their head in your lap if you let them. I dont mind until the circulation in my legs starts to go. They have heads like bowling balls.

I want a mastiff, but there's no way I could afford to feed one.

We had one, too... then my boyfriend at the time stole it. I didn't pester him about it since I have three cats and he has six. He needs all they kitty stuff he can get.

Well, mastiffs don't eat as much as one might think for their size, but it's still a lot. They each get around a coffee can of decent food twice a day.

I'm not entirely sure of 10k posts has an achievement, but I think it does. Does it, DK? Or would it be better to ask maybe Lucid or Coda?

That's still a lot of food, Quiet. The four smaller dogs we have now don't even eat that much. They get three cups of food twice a day between the four of them. We have two min-pins, one terrier, and a cocker spaniel.

Yeah, I know. My little spaniel got 1/3 of a cup of kibble for dinner and some raw diet pucks in the morning. I wouldn't have been able to feed him raw diet if he didn't each as little as he did. Not that he thought he had enough. I've yet to see a spaniel that is not a food monger. My brother's cocker spaniel was food crazy. He got his kibble in tiny scoops because it would be gone as soon as it hit the bowl.

Some sort of dog food...either way it sounds icky...
