Domino's is my favorite but the house vote usually ends up Marcos
I love Dominos Cinnamon sticks though. |
what about pizza hut?
pizza hut used to have a really good deep-dish pizza that i enjoyed. but i haven't been there in a while. ooh, maybe i'll go friday after work?
i also like Papa John's garlic bread sticks |
PH is still my favorite! <3 All the live long day!
We don't do Pizza hut because there isn't one near us. And the one near work closes by 10…. and since i work night shift we don't even think of ordering til then.
@Tiva
Oh that's so sad! D: Everyone deserves Pizza Hut now and again. :3 |
We do Dominos, they are open til midnight and deliver to us. Actually when I call in they argue over who is going because we always tip them at least 10 bucks. One time the ER doctor paid for an entire ER meal (80) and gave a 20 dollar tip.
We only have a couple of fast food chains over here, the more well known ones are subway, mc donalds and burger king. But no pizza hut or anything else like that.
oh, what about papa murphy's take and bake?
they're good! :D |
according to google, papa murphy's is only central and western US... i'm in eastern US, so we don't have them.
ah, damn, that's too bad. I didn't know that.
eh, it's all right, there's a lot of places that are regional and you don't realise it until you start saying things like 'i picked up dinner last night from wawa' - and then someone asks you what the heck is a wawa? XD
never heard of wawa. o.o
which is why i linked it. it's a convenience store in PA, NJ, DE, ... and FL. =) (and new ones opening in MD and VA!)
VA goer here. We've had wawa for yeeeears and years. Definitely not a new thing.
WE have winco, do you have winco? Winco is the bomb.
winco's pretty neat
Wawa sounds familiar! I guessed it was a gas station and I was right! XD
Haven't seen one in years though since I don't live on the east coast anymore. |
I have no idea what any of these things are.
Same here, it just seems like gibberish to me.
"Wawa" is pretty much gibberish.
That said, I drive past one every day. |
I was baffled when I moved to Utah and there was no Safeway or Fred Meyers. I had to figure out all these other regional grocery stores. What a pain.
Safeway is called IGA in some parts of the country. There's also... um... some third name for it that I can't remember.
Quote:
incidentally, I'm pretty sure IGA is unrelated. |
Bojangles, and Zaxbys are regional and the one time I went up to NY I cried cause I couldn't find one.
Galla - the website had some new stores opening in VA. i always thought of Wawa as a PA-NJ thing though. my inlaws don't live all that far from Red Roof, Wawa HQ.
and LOL Toho!! |
Quote:
Oh. Turns out that they just bought a few IGA franchisees, not IGA itself. |
So here's a conversation I had with my husband.
Me: Do you know what a Wawa is? Husband: Yeah, it's a gas station. Me: *gasp* How'd you know? :o Husband: When we lived in Virginia, it was the only gas station for miles! Me: Don't remember. Husband: We lived there for 6 months, how could you not remember?! |
Because it wasn't relevant to you?
So true. It's hard to remember the name of a gas station from 7 years ago!
It's also a gas station! XD Not that special. :3
A gas station with a cult following of some sort.
People fall in love with strangest things. :3
Though I can't really talk, I probably love MST3k way too much. |
MST3K is something worthy of love, though. Wawa is...a gas station.
and a convenience store - with decent food, too!
I like it cuz it's next to the Four Seasons.
I have literally never heard of any of these gas station place things.
Gas stations are kind of boring, really. Forgettable. :P
gas stations are pretty boring.
7-Eleven has a cult following and it's "just a convenience store" too.
