Domino's is my favorite but the house vote usually ends up Marcos

I love Dominos Cinnamon sticks though.

Tas 12-16-2015 01:03 AM

what about pizza hut?

trystan830 12-16-2015 01:08 AM

pizza hut used to have a really good deep-dish pizza that i enjoyed. but i haven't been there in a while. ooh, maybe i'll go friday after work?

i also like Papa John's garlic bread sticks

Ireland 12-16-2015 01:11 AM

PH is still my favorite! <3 All the live long day!

Tiva 12-16-2015 01:13 AM

We don't do Pizza hut because there isn't one near us. And the one near work closes by 10…. and since i work night shift we don't even think of ordering til then.

Ireland 12-16-2015 01:29 AM

@Tiva

Oh that's so sad! D: Everyone deserves Pizza Hut now and again. :3

Tiva 12-16-2015 01:32 AM

We do Dominos, they are open til midnight and deliver to us. Actually when I call in they argue over who is going because we always tip them at least 10 bucks. One time the ER doctor paid for an entire ER meal (80) and gave a 20 dollar tip.

Monorea 12-16-2015 04:46 AM

We only have a couple of fast food chains over here, the more well known ones are subway, mc donalds and burger king. But no pizza hut or anything else like that.

Tas 12-16-2015 03:35 PM

oh, what about papa murphy's take and bake?

they're good! :D

trystan830 12-16-2015 03:40 PM

according to google, papa murphy's is only central and western US... i'm in eastern US, so we don't have them.

Tas 12-16-2015 03:46 PM

ah, damn, that's too bad. I didn't know that.

trystan830 12-16-2015 03:48 PM

eh, it's all right, there's a lot of places that are regional and you don't realise it until you start saying things like 'i picked up dinner last night from wawa' - and then someone asks you what the heck is a wawa? XD

Tas 12-16-2015 03:54 PM

never heard of wawa. o.o

trystan830 12-16-2015 03:57 PM

which is why i linked it. it's a convenience store in PA, NJ, DE, ... and FL. =) (and new ones opening in MD and VA!)

Gallagher 12-16-2015 04:11 PM

VA goer here. We've had wawa for yeeeears and years. Definitely not a new thing.

Glitch 12-16-2015 04:16 PM

WE have winco, do you have winco? Winco is the bomb.

Tas 12-16-2015 04:17 PM

winco's pretty neat

Fulkth 12-16-2015 05:44 PM

Wawa sounds familiar! I guessed it was a gas station and I was right! XD
Haven't seen one in years though since I don't live on the east coast anymore.

Espy 12-16-2015 07:31 PM

I have no idea what any of these things are.

Monorea 12-16-2015 07:45 PM

Same here, it just seems like gibberish to me.

Tohopekaliga 12-16-2015 08:03 PM

"Wawa" is pretty much gibberish.

That said, I drive past one every day.

Lucid: 12-16-2015 08:30 PM

I was baffled when I moved to Utah and there was no Safeway or Fred Meyers. I had to figure out all these other regional grocery stores. What a pain.

Coda 12-16-2015 08:38 PM

Safeway is called IGA in some parts of the country. There's also... um... some third name for it that I can't remember.

Tas 12-16-2015 08:55 PM

Safeway also runs Carrs, Pak'n Save, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, and Vons. It recently merged with Albertsons, which also runs ACME, Amigos, Jewel-Osco, Lucky, Market Street, Sav-on, Shaw's and Star Market, Super Saver Foods, and United Supermarkets.

incidentally, I'm pretty sure IGA is unrelated.

Tiva 12-16-2015 09:01 PM

Bojangles, and Zaxbys are regional and the one time I went up to NY I cried cause I couldn't find one.

trystan830 12-16-2015 09:57 PM

Galla - the website had some new stores opening in VA. i always thought of Wawa as a PA-NJ thing though. my inlaws don't live all that far from Red Roof, Wawa HQ.

and LOL Toho!!

*does some research*

Oh.

Turns out that they just bought a few IGA franchisees, not IGA itself.

Fulkth 12-17-2015 05:59 PM

So here's a conversation I had with my husband.

Me: Do you know what a Wawa is?
Husband: Yeah, it's a gas station.
Me: *gasp* How'd you know? :o
Husband: When we lived in Virginia, it was the only gas station for miles!
Me: Don't remember.
Husband: We lived there for 6 months, how could you not remember?!

Monorea 12-17-2015 06:00 PM

Because it wasn't relevant to you?

Fulkth 12-17-2015 06:02 PM

So true. It's hard to remember the name of a gas station from 7 years ago!

Ireland 12-17-2015 08:50 PM

It's also a gas station! XD Not that special. :3

Tohopekaliga 12-17-2015 08:56 PM

A gas station with a cult following of some sort.

Ireland 12-18-2015 12:19 AM

People fall in love with strangest things. :3

Though I can't really talk, I probably love MST3k way too much.

Tohopekaliga 12-18-2015 12:22 AM

MST3K is something worthy of love, though. Wawa is...a gas station.

trystan830 12-18-2015 01:14 AM

and a convenience store - with decent food, too!

Gallagher 12-18-2015 01:24 AM

I like it cuz it's next to the Four Seasons.

Espy 12-18-2015 01:49 AM

I have literally never heard of any of these gas station place things.

Tohopekaliga 12-18-2015 02:13 AM

Gas stations are kind of boring, really. Forgettable. :P

Tas 12-18-2015 05:10 AM

gas stations are pretty boring.

Coda 12-18-2015 02:31 PM

7-Eleven has a cult following and it's "just a convenience store" too.
