Good luck with that! It's kind of sad actually. The last time I went to the public library here except for the fiction section the shelves were nearly empty. Used to be there were rows and rows of books in every section, now there are two to five. It was so barren and depressing...

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 07:00 PM

Oh I know. I'm sad that the number of libraries in some towns goes down, or the library in the town my dad's girlfriend lives in, it's only open 4 days a week. :/

Red Calypso 04-10-2012 07:03 PM

I think part of the problem is people don't go there to check out books that much any more. Book reading as a whole is down thanks to Kindles and such.

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 07:06 PM

What I like knowing is the library adapts to the new technology. I forget how they have, but I know they have. ^^

Ugh my feet and legs hurt from work today. :/

Red Calypso 04-10-2012 07:08 PM

I know the libraries here have public access computers. You can only use them for an hour at a time though.

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 07:09 PM

Yeah, same with ours. I'm trying to remember what they have in the way of keeping up with the whole kindle thing. I know librarians will test them out.

Red Calypso 04-10-2012 07:11 PM

Well, I don't see how they could afford enough to check out or anything, plus a lot of people would just steal them...

Serra Britt 04-10-2012 07:47 PM

-hides out-

I'll try visiting here again, now that I have time to hang out :p

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 08:04 PM

@Red: Yeah ^^" I would see where people would steal them
@Serra: Welcome :) Glad you have the time to stop by now ^^ How's your day been?

Serra Britt 04-10-2012 08:17 PM

Mostly fine, I had to rest some in the middle of the day but luckily that wasn't very serious. Still wish I didn't have to do so though.

Fauxreal 04-10-2012 08:26 PM

I should work on my price guide.

DragonDrifter 04-10-2012 08:29 PM

Derp, an active thread! :D

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 08:29 PM

@Dragon: Yup! Welcome!

DragonDrifter 04-10-2012 08:31 PM

And a new one, I see. Awesome! C:
Thank you. How's it going?

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 08:34 PM

I'm doing good. a bit tired from work today and now am looking forward to my day off tomorrow ^^ How's things for you?

DragonDrifter 04-10-2012 08:35 PM

Good, good. Just derping around the internet, as usual. xP

Serra Britt 04-10-2012 08:44 PM

Hello Dragon, doing well today?

I'm just floundering looking for something semi-healthy to eat :p

DragonDrifter 04-10-2012 08:46 PM

Yeah, I'm doing good, and you?
Haha, I never eat healthy, but I am active, sooooo...problem solved! :D

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 08:47 PM

Compared to my dinner. I wouldn't be surprised if the bean burrito I ate for lunch was the healthiest thing I ate other than my breakfast.

Serra Britt 04-10-2012 08:54 PM

Well I just have a bunch of non healthy Easter goodies staring at me...

And I can't be that active so I really need to eat something real XD

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 08:58 PM

mmm Easter goodies. I have a basket from my future step-mother which has a few candies I really like (she didn't know what I liked, but she got lucky and the candy in there is what I love), and a hollow easter bunny my future mother-in-law bought me, she put extra candy in my boyfriend's tin so I have candy to pick at. She did the same for his brother's wife. ^^
I'm surprised I haven't eaten all of the candy my stepmother gave me.

Serra Britt 04-10-2012 09:07 PM

I have a lot but I'm trying to pace myself. Which is why I need to eat something that's not candy ^^;;

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 09:09 PM

Yeah. When I was younger, I would devour my basket within a few days. Now, I'm the one that will forget that I have the candy. I also have a problem of putting it somewhere where I won't see it. So I won't remember it. I had Halloween candy that was over a year old because I put it in a drawer and forgot about it after awhile... Of course I had to throw it out. :/

Serra Britt 04-10-2012 09:12 PM

Aww that sucks x.x It won't happen to me because I have (several) sweet teeth, but I do need to eat something.

I was thinking of making ramen and adding some veggies.

Edit: The pots dirty because my roommate hasn't done the dishes yet like I asked... -.-;

DragonDrifter 04-10-2012 09:14 PM

I GOT DISTRACTED.
Anyways, is ramen considered healthy? .______.

Serra Britt 04-10-2012 09:17 PM

More so than Easter candy oO

Which is why I'm going to ad some corn to it...as soon as the pan soaks enough for me to clean it anyways.

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 09:22 PM

ooo that sounds good. My dinner is going to be a ham casserole with the leftover Easter ham, some asparagus, and rice. I think she put cream of chicken soup and broth with it and some sour cream. Maybe cheese.
Either way ^^"

I know I'll probably have ramen tomorrow.

Ramen is healthy if you don't add the entire seasoning packet in there. :p

DragonDrifter 04-10-2012 09:24 PM

Both of those sound delicious. Unfortunately I already had dinner. A DOUBLE DECKER COLBY JACK AND BACON GRILLED CHEESE! Fantastically unhealthy! :D

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 09:26 PM

OMG Dragon, that sounds awesome also. Mmmm now I really want a good burger.

DragonDrifter 04-10-2012 09:29 PM

It was. And I do too.

I have a never ending stomach, so don't be surprised. x3

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 09:31 PM

My boyfriend is like that too.

so am I, My tummy is a black hole

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 10:04 PM

We used to joke that my boyfriend had a black hole of a stomach. :p He still eats a good amount. But, I'm the one who eats small portions. ^^

Red Calypso 04-10-2012 10:59 PM

I used to have a bottomless pit stomach. I could eat like there was no tomorrow. Not so much these days.

I had chicken tenders, okra and rice for dinner.

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 11:00 PM

ooo that actually sounds like a really good dinner you had Red :) ^^

Red Calypso 04-10-2012 11:02 PM

Yeah, it was pretty good. I ate at United Market Street.

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 11:15 PM

Nice :)
I'm eating some ham casserole with rice, asparagus, and cheese. Made with leftover ham

Red Calypso 04-10-2012 11:17 PM

Oh, that sounds yummy!

Serena Yuy 04-10-2012 11:18 PM

It is. I'm surprised I grabbed seconds. Of course my serving size is small anyway ^^"

Red Calypso 04-10-2012 11:22 PM

*yawns* My meal is making me sleepy.
