I've been learning my katakana over the summer, and reviewing some kanji recently too. ^.^;; It's not a lot, but I'm determined to not completely forget the bits of Japanese I know.
|
I been so busy and depressed over the summer i haven't done anything ..
I spoke one word of japanese when with my family in PA and got yelled at ;-; |
;A; how horrible of them!
I watched some anime over the summer but not as much as I should have. my computer at work blocks most sites to watch anime on, and at home I was doing other things. |
yea last week or the week before i answered the phone in japanese and got yelled at again xp
"you are an american so speak english!" >o i'll speak what ever i want |
being multilingual is good! D:
|
it's not that.. they LOVE it when their kids speak spanish or french
but since it's something other then what schools around them teach, no. its bad. I spoke some lines of Tatu's songs x'D |
crazy people. D: what makes one language more acceptable than another? they should all be considered beautiful!
|
my family is evil and weird =.=
OH! I was watching Aoi House's Music Video and they spell I love you Aishteru when its supposed to be Aishiteru even if the i in shi is silent in the word it's still THERE.. when you look at the Higarana there is no 'sh' it's 'shi' D8 |
That's why I hate romanji. =P Using the hiragana, it's ALWAYS spelled right! :D
|
Quote:
|
precisely why romanji sucks. it's just bad practice and nobody follows standard.
|
the thing is the Higarana sound is 'shi' =w= SHI there for when WRITTEN in Romaji like they did in the video.. it needs to be in there D<
|
@demon:
what?! part of america is us being a melting pot for everyone else! lolol they should practice languages too @lucid: oh? good job! |
the note they sent me made no sense shin! ;-;
|
note?
oh u mean the whole "aishteru" thing. well you can note them back saying often times the "i" after an sh is silenced but there are so many times when its not. like shimasu or shinkansen or shinyama D< and so you shouldn't omit it in the romaji since it may mess up not only spelling but how they learn it. besides that, there is also "su" which ending on the verb is pronounced "s" instead of "su". do they write it like that as well? and if so, be like there isn't any hiragana that is s or sh. so yeah |
I don't know about their su - s thing.. they only sang like 3 lines of japanese the rest in english
http://www.gomanga.com/flashanime/index_aoi.php xp |
yeah i didnt see it either but say, if they are going to stick with being correct in spelling so far, they should keep it the same.
|
xD it bugs me not seeing that i but i'll ignore it x3 echiboo will make the video worth while
|
echiboo? /confuse
btw im off to bed but i will respond when i get up in 5 hrs |
he is the hamster xD
|
ohhhhhhhhhh!
thats an interesting name for him. is this really a real series or was that a fan video of one? |
It is an official video for the manga and 4-koma comic for Aoi House :3
|

|
Yes it is. =/
|
>>; i see..
lol well whatever xDDD so how have you been? |
I have been well :3
|
lolol so what have u done this summer?
and where did everyone from here disappear to? |
I had to go out of state xp I hated the visit with family.. =(
|
but there had to be some good things right?
|
Sadly no.
Try to practice some Higarana and random words and stuff that I took notes of. Got yelled at. They caused mom's ankle she had opperated on, to be sprained They bitched at Mom and I cause our food stamps *which barely feed 2* didnt feed a house hold of 10. So many people including us were staying there. Their PC was a piece of junk. Worse then mine. Refused to load trisphee. I managed to place some Open Beta of a game before they deleted it and kept me from playing it. didn't get far in there anyway. sucky pc. I got bitched at for not smiling. sorry if my personality doesn't allow me to smile at people. =/ OH! the worst part.. I'm allergic to carrots. they knew this. made food with carrots, got pissed when I either got sick after eating or just refused to eat at all |
... >>;
they tried to kill u. thats what i wulda said. maybe it wulda shaped them up. and ya know what? they can freakin suck it. i hope u guys dont have to go through that again |
I hope i never have ta go back

Beginner Lesson: Japanese Pronunciation Series #1 - Basic 46 Sounds
from JapanesePod101! :3 this is from my stuff among JapanesePod101 |
Wow. I read the first part of that and was able to follow the vowel sounds you had posted. A little lost for the rest. I've only encountered Japanese that uses the Roman alphabet. Never characters.
|
Yea that was where I started.. the Romaji version x.x and that never helped me read the doujinshi from aarinfantasy ;o;
Everyone told me that I should learn the Kana. Hiragana is one of the Kana :3 I still have to learn the katakana x.x, *falls over* |
Ah. I think I might start with basic Roman stuff so get some of the spoken language down. Though my best learning is by writing and reading. I don't remember a heck of a lot of my Swedish vocab as far as speaking, but I can still read it well enough given what we covered in class. Most of the Japanese terms I remember I associate with a picture in my head of where I read it.
